I'm new to this game. Is it safe to take out more than one loan and how do I beat the Mamluks as the Ottomans, whenever I attack them when they're busy they spawn out 30k stacks that eat up my 2, 20k stacks and block my armies from reinforcing.
If you're new, I recommend taking out as many loans as you're comfortable with. Personally, I've never had to take out any loans with the Ottomans, but the max amount of loans I took out at one time in this game was around 12 I think. Also, I'm assuming you're attacking them too late, because they should never have more than one stack once you get all the claims to their lands.
I started attacking the mamelukes in the late game (mid 17th centaury) and indeed they had large amounts of troops. But as the ottomans if you expand correctly (Persia and the Crimea)you can manage to get large amounts of troops. I manage to beat them, while I had 100k and they 40k, I also had Spain as a ally, +150k troops, while they got Iraq, Add to dictionary and Morocco. I beat them 4 times in a war while only loosing 1 against them, in which I manage to reconquest Anatolia while I only lost 1 province. So my advice is to become strong, annex your neighbors and when you have over 50k army attack them (For which the Ottomans is not that difficult).
So don't ally Crimea, beat up QQ after killing Anatolia minors and Byzantines, then hit Mamluks. Any other "easy" nations that you recommend for people starting the game?
flyingkoopa45 yo i know this is old af but russia(muscovy) is great for learning how to deal with rebels and vassals , austria if you want to spice up your diplomatic game and surely Britain(England) for Navy learning and colonization
How about a conquest where you are only aloud to take costal provinces and in inland ones? It would force you into weakening enemies in other ways that seizing land and playing both defensively and offensively.
You need to hire the best advisors you can aford (those from nobles, church and merchants cost half ;)). Try to neighbor and more advanced country to get some development bonus and build things and issue edicts to spread development. Always take decisions towards open relations. I did not get so much land as this guy but managed to face a coalition formed by ottomans and russians, so its fine. =D

Also, can i ask why i can't become Ming tributary at all? The reasons say because strategic interest and not neighbours. So how can i be their tributary state then now?
Bro you need to learn how to maximize trade income. Collecting in so many nodes greatly reduces the amount you could make. Should've just steered it all to Malacca.

Of course ming is overpowered but you have to get renaissance as fast as possible
