I was at an convenience store a few nights ago. They had this playing on the speakers. I forgot the hooters played this. I loved it. Had song genie up in my phone. Told me the Hooters. Looked it up starting posting it all day. Turns out they are touring with Rick Springfield and making a stop in our city a few week later. This was last week Went to just see the Hooters. Sounded amazing. Love this song ❤❤
I’m watching this on July 23 2024. I heard it when i was at Home Depot this past Saturday night. Before that i completely forgot about this song. My dad used to play it when i was a child.
Look back at this time back when this country was in good shape. Now it’s a completely different nation than it was then where at that time you would never imagine it would be in the state it’s at now.
That rhythm guitar riff. Absolute killer. Total earworm. I'd heard this years ago but never knew what the band was until I was lucky enough to catch it on a music show on TV. Suddenly I was high!
Phenomenal... When I was in my teens..this song had arrived on pop radio. I've always thought the tune was lengthy. It never interested me. However , I had listened to it again.. And found I've grown to appreciate it. It had debth.
The profound message, the intricate song structure, and the way in which it is sung (with the cadence) makes this song extremely catchy. This is hands down my favorite Hooters song.
@@1980Campino He participated a lot in the period between 2004-2010, I'll leave one from each album, but there are more songs: "Remember the Good Times" from "Unbreakable (2004)" "You're Lovin' Me to Death" from "Humanity: Hour I (2007)" "Let's Rock!" from "Sting In The Tail (2010)"
When I first saw The Hooters, it was the first year out of secondary for our crew. I was 18, but clearly remember these guys. They were very underrated throughout their careers. ❤😊
Most or almost all of music today is trash... I'm 53 and the 80's & 90's were I think a resurrection of before them. These songs have a soul all their own....Timeless
This song was brilliant then and more profound today. We are living in dark times. The covid theory is far from over. The world is suffering the aftermath, the talk of food shortages, disease, Wars massive homelessness, recession is another word for depression. The Hooters must have heard a voice from God, this song speaks an international language. Is the world being given a warning from God today? 🙏
This song is a hit in any decade (well ,except the last 2 decades ), reached #58 Top 100 1985 . Thought it’d been higher but I regard it up there , one all time 80’s best , kinda like Toto’s Africa but better .
But just what is the message that is being Delivered in this powerful song? I believe it is to Read and understand your Bible the key to your/our future is written in plain English. It's all in there and it is happening....right in front of our eyes Jesus said narrow is the way that leads to salvation and few find it. But Broad is the way that leads to destruction and many will find it.
that's funny. rob played it at a different tempo and when the drummer came in, he sowed it down. you can see rob try to get his attention to pick it up. still sounds great though...
Time to put some bugs in the ears of the Rock and Roll HOF. There are a lot of questionable performers already inducted who don't have a work load behind them like The Hooters have amassed over decades of hard work.
My Philly homeboys. Great band, song just as relevant today as it was in 86.

Saw them so many times in small clubs back in Jersey and Philly. Had a great following. Extremely talented band✌️❤️
I love them! I found them now as I was only in preschool when they were popular lol
Pointing out the difference between "Israelites" and those who are deluded in thinking they are the chosen didn't get them very far though.
@@zandiefalconi That's what you took from this video?

Saw them at the Tower Theater three nights in a row.Upper Darby PA Great live band.
Nje kenege me nje Porosi te thjeshte dhe te Thelle, nje Kendim i Jashtezakonshem. LOVE YOU.

I didn't know that they performed at this concert along with Bryan Adams, U2,and The Police. Great, true LIVE performance!
So relevant to NOW!

Saw them Friday night in Quakertown PA and they sounded as good as ever!
Awesome! My wife and I just moved to Wilmington Delaware and she told me they still do shows in Q-town. We're going this yr, I think it's in May
Just missed them in Cape May- 2 sold out shows
Lovely song and great performance!
When a guy writes songs for Cyndi Lauper and the Scorpions you know he's really badass! This is Eric Bazilian!
🤟🤟❤
What song did he write for the "Scorpions"?

When they declare peace and security then sudden destruction. 1Thessalonians 5:3.
A very loud warning. Yet, so many aren't hearing it.
Great song!
Needed to hear this particular song today.....been hearing too much Zombie rhetoric out there.
VASTLY underrated!
It's true!
Favorite song from them. Should have been a mega hit!!!
that remark is vastly OVERRATED newsflash the 80s are considered one of the two greatest decades of music so not every band or song can be #1
Heard this on the LiSTNR app the other day. Had to hear it again.

Best band ever the greatest band ever played on God Green earth 🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍 the hooters is the best and greatest band ever
I loved this song when it came out. It is still very good!
This was part of the Amnesty International Concert. The Hooters were in fine company, and acquitted themselves very well!
All you sitting in high places
it rained 40 days and 40 nights
This song is still relevant now... I hope people understand the message...
