I bought a stand up hooded steamer for a lower cost too. My adjustable stool makes it so my steamer never requires height adjustments. The steamer is a game changer for my strands in Fall/ Winter. Plus my arms are not over worked.
Hey love 😊. I was thinking about a stand up hooded steamer for that reason. I had a stand up hooded dryer and I broke it. So I'm kind of afraid I would break a steamer too 😅
I’ve gone through three hooded steamers and two hand held steamers, I hope Pattern has found the key to making their steamer last longer. I love hair gadgets so I will definitely be purchasing this steamer 🙌🏾.
If you use distilled water the steamer will last longer. Minerals in tap water cause build up and corrosion Haha should have waited to comment until after I finished watching the video. So glad you brought it up you are the only one I have seem touch on this when reviewing the steamer.
@@MsDrippingRubies I did use distilled water in all of them but the plastic housing on the bottom of the heating portion of the table top units cracked over time. Replying to your edit oh yes that was definitely my main concern because all of my table top ones cracked in the same place. I love adding steam treatments to my conditioners and I love hair gadgets lol, so I kept trying thinking it was something I was doing wrong but it was definitely a design flaw between the hot water and the tank that holds it being made of plastic. With my hand held the inner parts aren’t able to be seen at all so I have no idea why they stopped working. My current table top steamer is doing ok but it may have some cracks so I’ll eventually get the rolling steamer and I want to replace my hand held with the Pattern Beauty one.
When I saw the advertisement for this steamer I was like, Pattern has done it again. Their tools are so appealing. I had a similar steamer once, it was a green hand-held steamer with prongs like this one. I loved it but unfortunately it did not last. I cannot remember the name of it. I now use one that looks sorta of like a shower cap that is electrical. It works well so I probably won’t get this one but I was tempted. Their diffuser looks nice too but like you, I was like I have the dyson, which I love. I use it every week. I’ve had it almost three years now. So I couldn’t justify getting that one either. I’m with you Pattern’s hair products aren’t my favorites but the tools are amazing. I do love their shower brush. My favorite detangler when deep conditioning. Thanks for reviewing the steamer. It is nice. Edit: I just read someone’s review and they mentioned the steamer I had, it was the Q-Redew.
Hey Diane ☺️. Yes, the q redew. I had wanted one of these for a long time but heard that the steam got really hot on the scalp. Is I am glad I picked this one because I did not have that issue at all. I hope this one lasts a long time. Thanks for watching 😘
I have the steamer and I thoroughly enjoyed using it.💛Lightweight, moved through my hair easily, and I liked being able to move around without being pinned under a hood.
Hello. Great review. I purchased this steamer last week and love it. I also have a hooded steamer too. I like having the ability to focus on targeted areas. It is compact and does not take up a ton of space in my closet.
Hi ! I brought this and I love mine but one con is cleaning once you’re done . I found it cumbersome to clean and a little heavy (compared to the Q redew). But my hair was very moisturized and I will be using this a lot. I had the Q redew but it no longer works so when I saw Pattern dropped their steamer I was like, sold lol…
I heard they are no longer making the q redo and checked the site and it was out of stock. I ha one fore covid and it broke and brought another during covid. It didn't work. If you Dyson stop working don't get another q redew if they kept selling it. They don't last long
I do agree, it is a little annoying to clean lol. But I am loving it so far. I wanted a Q redew but never got my hands on one. Glad I have this. Thanks for watching love 💕
😂 same. I have my q-redew that I keep forgetting about. A table top one that I just don’t feel like fooling with and a facial steamer that I could use as well.
Lol I always wanted a Q redew but just never got my hands on it. I think I will reach for this more than my hooded steamer, at least I hope that I do 😂. thanks for watching love 🫶🏾
I tried mine over the weekend, and I liked it for the most part. Sometimes you have to wait a while for it to blow out steam. But it lasts a while when it's on, and I was surprised that it combed through my hair so well. I tried with the hood at first and then switched it while watching your video. I hate getting my hair wet between washes (texture stuff), so my hair gets dry. I think this'll be great for me.
I am so happy to hear that you are loving it! I feel like it is a good tool for dry hair. 😊 And I was surprised too how it was coming through my hair. Excited to have this as part of regular routine. Thanks for watching love 💕
I was contemplating on getting this or a traditional steamer! Love the concept of this steamer and it’s beautiful but the fact that it’s handheld made me think that you won’t get consistent steam over all of your hair at once and it’s a lot of arm movement. Thanks for this review!!
Hey love 😊. Right, those are the main cons of this steamer. But I do like that I don't have to just sit under the steamer and I can be more mobile. Thanks for watching 💕
Hey love 🤗. That is exactly why I got it. I have always wanted the q redew but heard that the steam got really close to the scalp. I really liked the look of the pattern steamer and so I had to try it. Thanks for watching 💕
Hey love, I am curious to see as well. I know I have not touched my hooded steamer much this year. The steamer is available now on Ulta's website if you do decide to get it. That way you can use points and coupons. Thanks for watching 🫶🏾
Hey love, I never had the qredew but I do think it is very similar. I feel like I heard some people complain about the steam getting too hot on their scalp with the qredew. I have not had that issue with this steamer. Thanks for watching 😊

@@NJEberhart you’re so welcome and I’ll definitely let you know how I like it 🥰.
I purchased it, and my low porosity hair is loving it! I used it with Nature's Little Secret's prepoo...chef's kiss!!!
Oh yesss, I am going to have to use it for prepooing as well. Thanks so much for watching love ❤️

Sounds like the Q-redew or something like that 😅. I never purchased one
@@staciegreene2262 Yes that was it. It worked well but didn’t last.
I didn't know the Dyson had a steamer how is that?

I purchased the steamer and had the chance to use it last week. Love it!
Thanks for your review and sharing your thoughts.
Thanks for letting me know! I’m so glad you are loving it 😊. I def will be picking this up a lot.
Def going to be a holiday gift to myself! I love the Pattern line!
Yesss!!! Treat yoself sis! Thanks for watching 😘

That’s great to hear! I’m glad you love it 😊. I too like that I am not just sitting under a hood with water dripping on me lol. Thanks for watching 💕

I wonder how they compare
I don’t think my high porosity low density hair would use this enough for the benefit. My hair is naturally soft. Looks interesting
the benefits if high porosity 😊. Thanks so much for watching love!
Looks like an amazing tool to invest in😮
Hey Shanta 🤗. I am glad that I picked it up and def would recommend.
Thanks for sharing, this was the first time seeing this.

It reminds me of the Q-Redew with a diffuser added and I think this one is more expensive

Thank you for reviewing.
I had thought about purchasing it as a Christmas present. No thanks.

I really want to purchase it but now I think I’ll wait to see which one you use more over time. Whether the pattern or the hooded steamer.

What’s the retail price of that steamer
$169
I just saw that it is available at Ulta so you can use points and use their 20% off sale events.
@@NJEberhart Right. I got mine for $153
Basically it s a dupe to the Qredew....?

I will be getting it because I have a hooded steamer and it gets too hot. I think I be burning myself so this will be great for me
Hey love, I think you well def like this steamer. It was not too hot at all. Thanks for watching love 💕
