I got married at 18, but I was 15, and he was 24 and had been divorced when we met. My dad basically gave me away because he was on drugs and felt this man could take care of me. His mother pressured him into marrying me because I became pregnant. It was the worst experience of my life. He cheated with my mom and others in my family and friends, and no one told me. I thought I was supposed to be married forever, so I had my tubes tied after our 6th child because I didn't want any more kids with him since he made every pregnancy a living hell. Now I'm divorced, and I regret my decision to have my tubes tied. All of the adults in my life failed me tremendously at that time. I'd say definitely think about it and make sure it's for true love.

Cheating is a choice. Not a weakness but rather a lack of self control, lack of value for the sacredness of marriage and having no discipline...you cant pray that away or into a grown man, it requires work and intentionality. Demons work with something brewing in us..ungodly urges, open doors etc...our part is to make sure we put measures into place to avoid such things & work on ourselves. Staying with a spouse who repeatedly cheats on you is accepting that form of abuse...being a follower of Christ doesn't stop us from using our brains or being intellectual. If he cheats, he has broken the covenant, its on him- you staying wont stop him from continuing but leaving will save you from being infected by them with some incurable disease.
I left when my ex husband, started to threaten my life. Drugs, serial cheating and domestic violence, caused him to act crazy. I've stayed divorced, for more than 20 years.😊

Many times pastors will say a Christian cannot divorce, pls not when the woman’s life is in danger. Same to a man that is been abused physically or emotionally.

Hilda should leave James. The truth is their marriage wasn't built on a solid foundation. They only got married because she became pregnant with Mariah. An unexpected pregnancy is not a good reason to get married. Plus, James keeps on lying and cheating on her. He even beat her once she confronted him about embezzling funds out of their company to repair his mother's home. James is awful; Hilda and Mariah deserve better. In the end, I am so glad that she fled with her daughter while James rots in prison. God is good!

As a woman a lot of us lack accountability for the actions that lead us into situations like this. Had Hilda not been fornicating she wouldn't have had to make such a drastic choice. The results are her husband is the results of her actions nothing we do goes without consequences. We are all angry at the pastor for not telling her to divorce her husband but did she consult the pastor when she married this man. No she didn't even consult God then proceeded to ignore her friends warning about rushing into this marriage. Everything that happened to Hilda was her direct result of all the mistakes she made to get into this marriage. Crazy how us women do things without God's, the pastor, friends and families advice or help but when things go sour they are the first people we blame for the consequences of our choice. Hilda should leave James. The truth is their marriage wasn't built on a solid foundation. They only got married because she became pregnant with Mariah. An unexpected pregnancy is not a good reason to get married. Plus, James keeps on lying and cheating on her. He even beat her once she confronted him about embezzling funds out of their company to repair his mother's home. James is awful; Hilda and Mariah deserve better. In the end, I am so glad that she fled with her daughter while James rots in prison. God is good!

People take the Bible at face value not realizing that God is a wordsmith and that there are layers to the things that he says. That’s why people cannot approach the Bible with a carnal mindset. When reading Gods word, you ask the Holy Spirit to take you deeper and to give you a complete understanding of what God is saying. Pastors are sending their congregations to hell because they are not breaking down what the word of God means. There’s no way that God would want a person to stay in a marriage that is abusive. It clearly states in his word that when adultery is committed, the other person can divorce and remarry. God is not in every marriage to begin with. If the marriage the person was in was not His will, then it will not work.
Let me preface this by stating that some of ya'll are about to be mad at me, and I don't care. First, it really does no woman any good to sleep with a man, especially unmarried, and sometimes within marriage. Intimacy is only necessary if a child(ren) are the end goal. Outside of offspring, intimacy is overrated, especially for women.

As a woman a lot of us lack accountability for the actions that lead us into situations like this. Had Hilda not been fornicating she wouldn't have had to make such a drastic choice. No she didn't even consult God then proceeded to ignore her friends warning about rushing into this marriage. God gave us free will for a reason and that is to freely choose him not by force. With free will comes consequences. Hilda faced hers with all the cheating and abuse she endured. Is it sad yes, but this is real life and every choice we make comes with consequences. But yeah I prayed and prayed from my nasty cheating ex-husband and God told me to leave because he was cheating with everybody from my mom and other family members, to his coworkers!! A couple of pastors tried to take his side and I told them about themselves too. All men are cheaters. God was trying hard to warn me not to marry in the first place but I was extremely young and almost had no say in it. But I'm glad its over.
