Don't know if Drew comes back to check on these, but as of the 2020-2021 season you aren't allowed to clean your bowling ball during play at all. I believe there is an exception that exception being rubbing alcohol to prevent possible spreading of c19 but that's about it. And you pretty much want to resurface the ball after the session. Lane shine will remove whatever surface is on there (unless the ball is pearl of course then just clean it).
you’re absolutely right, i usually take it to pro shop before round and have it cleaned up but no liquid during sanctioned rounds. i think alcohol is ok but it dries the cover and can cause cracking with prolonged use from what i have read. just keeping it clean from wiping between shots and then cleaning it post round is as good as you can do! stay safe everyone!
I would never think to put my bowling ball in the dishwasher?! Haha. Thank u for the vid :)
