@@ZonexG Yes. If any beginners are struggling, take my advice, watch and learn from Conquer Driving on RUclips. He was the only way I learned to drive a manual. If it wasn't for him, I would still be learning how to shift properly. Now I can heel toe, double clutch, launch my car from a standstill, and more. The key to not stalling is just watch the RPMs. RPMS are dropping very low, give it more gas. Once the clutch is at the bite point, you have acceleration control. Don't dump, but pause slowly at the bite point and ease it out from there.
Crying of laughter. This was me driving my mom’s 2002 Ford Focus wagon for the first time after getting my license. I managed to stall it close to 10 times at one intersection. Then I got even more nervous and kept trying to drive off with the handbrake still engaged. I was praying for no further stop signs or red lights on my way home. Hearing your labored breathing put me right back in the driver’s seat that day. I had many cars behind me and saw a bicycle approaching from the right. I decided right there sorry, not gonna yield to you today, my guy! And so I went from creeping in second gear to going full throttle in fourth. Not sure how many kph I was over the speed limit there, but I figured it would be better than hitting the bike or risking another stall and having the cars behind crash into me. Bottom line: Don’t get embarrassed. Learning manual is an essential skill and you chose a great car for it. The older Hondas are indestructible. In a few weeks, finding the bite point on the clutch and shifting smoothly will become second nature and you’ll be so grateful you stuck with it.
Glad to see people still learning stick. It will be second nature soon. People wont like you stalling now, but in a few months you can flex on them with some heel toe down shifts. The peddle should get a little stiffer/heavier when the clutch is engaging. Also make sure your pushing the clutch all the way in when disengaging. But dont let other drivers discourage you. Learning another way to drive will make you a better driver overall. Keep it up.

It seems the US has wayy more automatics in general - seems like a shame to me tbh. Glad to see your'e learning and keeping it going, a much more fun way to drive!!
one reason is we have alot of ground to cover day to day makes more sense to have an auto when youre driving farther than the next town over for work or food, in smaller places i can imagine every km you drive would matter
Props to you for showing yourself learning, everyone has to go through this stage. Easiest way to learn the clutch is to sit in an empty parking lot and left it out as slow as you can til you hear the engine start to bog, the hold for a sec. Try and remember that spot. Do this a few times in a row and try to do it a little faster. Once you have a good feel on where that is, get to that point and start letting it out slow again, eventually the car will start to creep. Push the clutch in once you just barley start rolling and repeat like you did for step one. This will help you learn where your bite point is and where to start pushing the gas pedal.
My hat goes off to you bro for doing this and pushing on, but I have to say I had tears running down my face from laughter. From that vicious gear changing, to the ebrake
Dude this video is great, I love it. Really sums up the learning manual experience. Don't worry man you'll get there!! It'll just click at one point and then you'll be cruisin!
A lot braver than me when I started! What I did, I went to an empty parking lot and when I got 10 starts no stalls in row without fail, I told myself that would be enough practice for me to take it home. Took about 100 tries to get it 10 times in a row without failure, and I remember the feeling of "was this a mistake?" But I pushed through those feelings, and I am sure glad I did. I been in that same car ever since; a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek that I picked up back in 2019. Watching this video definitely brought me back to those days of learning and the feeling of embarrassment when say drivers are behind you and you stall. Push through, and one day manual driving will become second nature to you, and it will come naturally. You will actually start to seek other opportunities to drive other manual cars, just to experience something new/different.
Honestly, thanks for posting and good for you, bro. Great content to show anyone learning to drive stick. Now I can show my wife and point out the fact that you don’t yell out in frustration at any point. Keep at it. If you take it this well now, you’ll likely enjoy it once you get the hang of it!

Tough watch bro‼But seriously just keep learning and driving and you'll learn in no time. Took me about 2-3 weeks of driving a couple hours a week before I got comfortable with the stick. Now, a year later, I find most of manual is just muscle memory and I can drive a manual as well as I can an automatic. You got it bro
I learned to drive stick this year, I was full on panicking most the time, you're doing a great job dude. Keep it up it'll become like walking here soon. n
first time i drove a manual car, i had to drive just a couple hundred feet to park it somewhere. pretty flat dirt road with just a slight degree of incline. should be easy, right? wrong! so fucking wrong! i stalled about five times and smoked the fuck out of the clutch. like, i could actually *see* clutch smoke. (FWD vehicle, so the transmission was under the hood) now i'm floating gears on an asynchronous twin stick tractor and having a blast. good job, OP. you're brave for posting this!
I remember my first time driving manual, man what a nerve wracking experience it was! Drove it home from out of town and it was scary for the first few days, but you’ll eventually get it! You’ll get smoother before you know it
1:34 my dude not trying to slow down because it's a hassle to go back to 1st. Great video dude. This is me when I drove a manual alone for the first time. Haha
here is a tip: Because it is a 4 stroke engine car, leave it in first when you stop and put the clutch in, and spend some time learning clutch control. every car is slightly different, so even if you had experience with another car, it would still take time to get used too. Nice to see an american bothering to learn stickshift though. Here in the uk, most people drive stick, but I hear most americans have given up on it, which is dumb. Its fun.
this reminds me of a few months ago when i bought my eclipse hahaha. The looks, the noises, the honking. I remember it all. Youll get the hang of it bro dont worry

I had a good laugh remembering how to drive manual 😂, I stalled out in front of a busy intersection not fun. You’ll get better in time bro and have fun with you car. 🚗💨
Hello from France for you, I suppose that you live in the USA and that automatic transmission and power steering have been common for a long time, in our country not so much, even if now we have more and more automatic transmissions, the majority are still in manual gearbox, I own a Golf 2 from 1989, therefore completely devoid of assistance and gearbox synchronization, I understand your learning, be calm, don't stress, be gentle on your skating point, take well time to break down your gear changes, when you stop slowly downshift your gear, practice starting your car only with the clutch to move forward in order to better control your slip point 😉 Otherwise it's a very video friendly which makes me feel a lot of nostalgia, continue your videos like this to see your evolution 😄
I'm learning manual with the 2008 lancer I just bought, this video really makes me feel less bothered with stalling, since the stress you felt is exactly the same I feel when driving
Ah man I remember learning manual 😅 same thing would happen to me where id stall it at intersections. I'd get SO nervous and self conscious. Sometimes i still forget the parking brake if im in a rush. I'm 27 now, and seeing someone learn is endearing and I just appreciate that people still WANT to learn
Man this remjnds me of when i first started learning like 2 months ago, i definitely don't miss the anxiety of stop signs in traffic & would not do it all over again lol
I assume after 4 weeks you've probably either perished or prospered but in case you haven't - You can learn clutch control with no stakes by parking at the top of the biggest parking lot hill you can find. Turn the car OFF, leave it in gear, point it down hill, no parking brake. Gently push the clutch in until the car starts to move. Let go of the clutch and stop the car. Now work on feathering that clutch to keep the car moving and gently letting it off to slow down. Congrats! You're now learning the clutch with the engine at practically zero RPM instead of smoking the clutch at 5k RPM.
Still learning manual + no power steering is a CRAZY combo 😭

Push the clutch in once you just barley start rolling and repeat like you did for step one. This will help you learn where your bite point is and where to start pushing the gas pedal.
This video brought back a lot of good memories. Keep practicing !
We need more of these videos they are amazing not just from this channel but everywhere its so relatable
You need to keep uploading man, show all the progress to your skill and your accord
this is what it feels like to drive in a stress dream.
Honestly, thanks for posting and good for you, bro. Great content to show anyone learning to drive stick. Now I can show my wife and point out the fact that you don’t yell out in frustration at any point.
Keep at it. If you take it this well now, you’ll likely enjoy it once you get the hang of it!
i really like these type of pov manual driving manuals, i felt like i am really driving the car when watching. you should really do more of these vids
this is genuinely the most entertaining thing I have seen in awhile I am dying at this
This was such a stressful video to watch but this is amazing man, learning steps to look back into, i had the same combo on my shitbox miata, no power steering and little experience with manual.
bruh. I just test drove a manual Geo Tracker today, my first time diving manual. My performance was questionable but at least I didn't break anything. This video just boosted my confidence back up.
You never wanna be learning stick on a loud car lol, then everyone can also hear you mess up. Man I don’t miss this stage of driving hahaha
everyone that learnt a manual experienced this type of shit, funny as hell when i went through it, funny as hell when someone else goes through it. never gets old lmao. Although I want to continue to watch your journey learning how to drive it.
Bro I'm going through this with you !! Just got my first manual 3 weeks ago and can't deny I've done just about everything you've done in this video lmaoo. Keep at it though man got to say though the more I drove the better i got
I cannot believe you paid $1,400 for that. It looks like it's worth maybe $400
Learning in a car like this just makes going to newer manuals all that easier. Learnt in my grandfather's 1986 Jetta before moving onto my instructor's 2020 car.
i know this video was posteed 3 weeks ago but props to you takes some balls to learn like this u got some balls dude proud of you im sure you got the hang of it by now tho
I admire you sharing this, definitely a struggle at first but with time!
This is definitely gonna be me once I get my license and start learning manual. Just keep your head up and keep learning!!!
I learned to drive stick this year, I was full on panicking most the time, you're doing a great job dude. Keep it up it'll become like walking here soon. n
The way this video is so real is what makes me love this 😂
Just shows how bad we all were tryna learn manual at some
Point 😂
Dude you just reminded me of my days as a beginner lol, happy learning.
IDK why it’s so much fun to watch you drive 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
reminds me of starting out last year. you'll be flying back and forth through the gears soon. good video
i still be stalling at light cause i get distracted. your doing good bro
This is the best POV drive i've seen
first time i drove a manual car, i had to drive just a couple hundred feet to park it somewhere.
pretty flat dirt road with just a slight degree of incline.
should be easy, right?
wrong! so fucking wrong!
i stalled about five times and smoked the fuck out of the clutch. like, i could actually *see* clutch smoke. (FWD vehicle, so the transmission was under the hood)
now i'm floating gears on an asynchronous twin stick tractor and having a blast.
good job, OP. you're brave for posting this!
Haha
Props for putting this out bro everyone starts at some point!
here is a tip: Because it is a 4 stroke engine car, leave it in first when you stop and put the clutch in, and spend some time learning clutch control. every car is slightly different, so even if you had experience with another car, it would still take time to get used too. Nice to see an american bothering to learn stickshift though. Here in the uk, most people drive stick, but I hear most americans have given up on it, which is dumb. Its fun.
This is my new favorite video. Best of luck with learning manual my guy and get that power steering fixed😭
Brother this video was a train reck, and i love it! You'll get it keep up the consistence!
this reminds me of a few months ago when i bought my eclipse hahaha. The looks, the noises, the honking. I remember it all. Youll get the hang of it bro dont worry
as someone who recently started learning in their first car on manual, this is one of the most entertaining yet trauma inducing videos ive watched this week 😭
this was hella entertaining keep it up man
respect on the struggles. reminds me of my old clapped integra xD keep chippin away at it bud!
I had a good laugh remembering how to drive manual 😂, I stalled out in front of a busy intersection not fun. You’ll get better in time bro and have fun with you car.
🚗💨
relatable asf, i want to see more of this
Most wholesome content on the internet.
The title had me laughing out loud. Had to give your vid a watch 😂
That was 5 minutes of pure gold.
Now THAT is what a true shitbox it bravo bro AND learnin is CRAZY. Dem noises got me crying the fartcan exhaust, shii sound like a whoopie cushion 💀💀😭
Utterly incredible content my God
Man this remjnds me of when i first started learning like 2 months ago, i definitely don't miss the anxiety of stop signs in traffic & would not do it all over again lol
i got my first last November and learned pretty quick, nice to see you trying your best though, its definitely not as easy as some people make it look
THIS IS HILARIOUS, REMINDS ME OF MY ANXIETY LEARNING TO DRIVE MANUAL LMAO
Brooo lmaoo this is hilarious, but don’t you worry you’ll get the hang of things in a few weeks just gotta add some confidence into it
I assume after 4 weeks you've probably either perished or prospered but in case you haven't - You can learn clutch control with no stakes by parking at the top of the biggest parking lot hill you can find.
