The Indian Air Force is very welcome at Pitch Black. We are all stronger by working together, and it is wonderful seeing so many friends and allies working together in the Australian outback for the common good.
BTW, while Pitch Black has been going only 43 years under that name, it existed under other names going back to the 1960's and so has been an important military exercise for 60 years. It has grown to be one of the largest such events in the world, and the participation of new countries like Italy, Philippines and Spain is valuable as we face increasing threats from autocratic nations who seem to be becoming increasingly willing to invade neighboring countries. Only by being strong and united can we ensure peace and freedom.

No wreckage was ever recovered, what we know is the IAF shot a missile, and they lost track of the F-16 on the AEWACs.
We also know the F-16 orders sky rocketed after that event with Slovenia, Taiwan Singapore and others quickly requesting for more F-16s.
So this tells you what the military intelligence agencies of countries around the world found out about that event.

@@michaeld1170F16 sales skyrocketed? Didn't know about that, what i do know is, pakistan, with US help, did a great media management to curtain the incident. One pilot received an award while the other martyred pilot was removed from records.
Locals recalled that they saw 2 parachutes coming down from one of the planes, Mig21 is singer seater, while the f16 is a twin seater for which it's certain it was an f16.
Radar signatures were also of that of the f16 fighter jet.
