    The generative patch is all about the Make Noise Strega, O-Coast, and O-Ctrl. I have the Befaco Rampage cycling and modulated randomly from the Voltage Block. This is the main generative clock. The Voltage Block is sequencing the Strega, and the O-Ctrl is sequencing the O-Coast through the ADDAC quantizer. This is going to Bitwig for lots of reverb and there are field recordings coming from Bitwig as well.
    Have fun! Omri Cohen.

    Still catching up on your releases here. This one is absolutely gorgeous. One of the nicest pieces of generative ambient I've heard for a while. Not all the notes are generative though I think, right? I hear the same melody with the main voice throughout (which is a good thing), but there's lots of subtle other parts happening which I guess are more generative. I'd really have to study it closer, but it's just wonderful to leave running in the background for relaxation. I also noticed there's no notes being cut off (or at least I didn't notice), I get annoyed with this when doing generative stuff on the modular because the oscillators are monophonic. Is the Strega polyphonic, or are you just hiding the cut notes?

      Hey, thanks so much! The notes are not fully random, no. The voltage block is set with 16 different notes that are running randomly but the octrl has just 8 notes that repeat themselves, more or less.
      I think that the nature of the envelopes and the amount of reverb (which is by default a lot 🙂) make it sound polyphonic with nice long tails.

    Very nice indeed. I would love to understand how this is build up, how the patch is built. It's inspiring, I want to learn how to make these.

    Always cause for hope, Omri! A cursory look at the way you've wired those guys together says you've let them alone to do their thing. Thanks!

    Wow! Not only is this a beautiful piece but it opened my eyes and ears to what is possible with this combo other than the more noisy aggressive side of their being! Totally unexpected.

      Remember, it's not just the combo. More instruments (modules) and software is involved.

    • @christophbresch
      @christophbresch 4 месяца назад

      @@MasleyVystupoethe other modules don't create any sounds, though, they're just for modulation. And then there's lots of reverb added.
