@@dv47844 iPhone 6 had 4 years of uptade and iPhone 6s 6 years. And as iPhone 7 received only 5 years iPhone 8 will receive another two years of upgrade as iPhone 6s ie iPhone 8 will receive iOS 18 ie 7 years of uptade.

I can usually get through one day on a full charge.But I keep my home and car chargers close by. My only complaint is, when I say, "Hey Siri" instead of the loud, high pitch tone that was on every other iOS, 16 has a low volume, low pitch tone, that I can barely hear. I haven't seen any comments on this anywhere. I guess I'm alone with this issue.

Thank you for an excellent review of the 8 Plus in relation to iOS 16 (beta). I think there are quite a few out there who still have their 8 Plus and appreciate the phone for what it is. For my part, the 8 Plus works really well and I do not feel the need to replace it (yet). The power consumption in your case is very similar to how my old 5S is performing. It can easily lose 20-30% battery capacity in 15-20 minutes, but it works fine even if it gets hot and of course has some delays. I use it mostly without a SIM card and listen to Spotify when I run or go for a walk (it weighs almost nothing).
I’ve had my 8 plus for a little over 4 years and recently had charging port replaced and my baterry which was at 74% of the original which made a huge difference, and now after 4 years I learned it has wireless charging which is ab to b fun

I updated to the betas on my 8+ and it completely broke upon booting. The search was at the top left corner. Home page was unresponsive and only could use the lock screen to navigate. I suggest on most 8+’s to stay on ios 15 till the public betas are more manageable

I like how Apple made iPad more of a functional computer with this and how it’s basically unique to the iPad ecosystem by enabling it via a toggle instead of making it a mandatory new way to multitask. Nice for the iPad purists but it’s only M1 iPads exclusive which is 50% of the iPad line already

I installed iOS 16 Beta 1 and Beta 2 on my iPhone 8 Plus. After a period of time, the desktop shortcuts can't be used, and I have to reboot. I didn't encounter this problem in iOS 15.6 Beta 3...

Why do u do these reviews on the beta version of iOS 16? Why wouldn't you wait until the actual software releases seems like it would be more of a reliable test.
I will cover them again on the official version, this is for people who want to try beta and want to see before they take that chance if the phone is performing well enough for them.

You can still use it even if ios 17 won’t work. It’ll get security and app updates for 4 more years after all that.
