I start my EMT Class next Monday. I have been studying your program for a week now and am taking a break for this video. Your program is a blessing, thank you so much Paramedic Coach. Wish me luck. 😎 And I want to wish everybody who is starting their EMT class all the luck in the world. 🚑
The lifepak is awesome it does so many things and has so many pockets when I did my ride alongs we would do a check over the whole ambulance and I would always check the batteries on the lifepak.
I wish there was a video like this on the Zoll X Series, I'm only a highschool student who wants to go into paramedicine and all the EMS services and hospitals around me use the X series which is pretty close to the LifePak. It would be interesting to get a review just like this for its close counterpart. Love the videos!
I keep disposable SP02 finger probes in the back along with different size BP cuffs, and above that is the capnography, a razor either in with ekg electrodes or the pads. Usually don’t keep a glucometer with our LP15.
7:43, is the placement of gear not standardized there? What if someone else other than you need to respond to an emergency with that ambulance? Fumble around for some minutes before finding the o2 meter? I hope it is atleast standardized per department, otherwise I worry, alot.
In Finland, the first 4 wire leads are not these colours. Upeer right is red, lighted cigarette.Upper left is yellow, sun shining down. Lower left is green, grass. And by elimination, the black one goes lower right.
12:25, Alcohol wipes for glucose monitoring? And this should be considered an educational video? Alcohol wipes will directly interfere with the results of an blood sugar test. This poses an risk, especially in an ambulance. The blood sugar levels may decide if the patient goes to the hospital or the jail to sober up. If an hypoglycaemia patient somehow went to jail, (passed out, considered drunk), instead of getting glucose and going to the hospital, well, he is dead by the morning.
I asked this question in the academy but felt like I never got the clear response I wanted. So in a world of some patients being transgender, how exactly would you set that up in the LifePak? When it says for male or female? do you ask them what they identify as? or set it up to what they were born as. Because obviously, you'll get different ranges for males and females.

I wonder how many ideas you gave us in that video
Something I learned was snow goes on grass, and smoke over fire .

I would say "I need to input your gender in my monitor..." But I agree this is a tough one.
I left the cheat code on the Players Bench
Let's go
Let's go Charles!
We used Life-Pack Ones, that stinks.
