It isn't just the vocal range. It is the hellish buzzsaw sound ... the shrieking demon sound .... the INSANE power to RIP through a stadium... etc.
And do it leagues better than anyone else. He is unique among metal vocalists. Even they recognize, and call him THE Metal God!

One of Priests best songs
Lots of guys can play kick ass guitar and drums but absolutely *Nobody* sings like Rob! Simply the best voice in metal period. It's bc of his vocals that JP is the best metal band in the history of the universe. When he hits those high notes I feel like I'm being transported to another plane of existence. Ecstasy in its purest form

I saw them at Irvine Meadows around 2005. This sound is from the mixer. The sound in the amphitheater sucks. Both Priest and Queensryche were victims of that place. The 2 best live bands I've seen, everywhere but Irvine Meadows.
