I could have watched and listened to Nivek speak endlessly, for hours and hours. I swear if I had not have been only like 4 years old in 1992 I'd have been wherever they were, at all their shows. Can't get over how adorable (and yes, sexxxyyyy) Nivek is here (and even now days!) but I "discovered" Skinny Puppy when I was around 12 and am 35 now and they will always be one of my top favorite ARTIST. Worlock and Tormentor, those two songs were some kind of therapy for me. And SP also got me thru some hard times, when I using IV Dilaudid, Opana and Heroin (when i was around 23 to 30...on and off...been clean/on 120mgs a day of methadone for over 4 years now!) listening to SP would be one of the few things that "got me thru" during some seriously bad times of withdrawal.
It's funny. I watched the whole thing and thought: "I could watch Ogre talk for hours...." Scrolled down and your comment was the first thing that I saw. I saw a recent interview with Ogre from like 3 months ago. The dude still looks pretty much as young as he does here. It's impressive.
@@Davivd2Idk he definitely has some years on him but all things considered especially drug use he definitely is looking very good for his age and he really aged and matured well.
Ogre is a really righteous dude. I've talked to a few people who have hung out with him over the years. All I've heard from them was how nice of a guy he is.
I had heard more about this story than what got shared here. Apparently Dwayne was smoking hash at the time, and it was a huge felony to have hash. So when the cops came in like storm troopers, Dwayne sort of just slipped out in the middle of the chaos and nobody even noticed it.
Thank you!!!!! SP is the best and also Primus sucks. Also I have to say when Ogre is talking about how this band exists to help... Holy shit. I swear he is speaking to me. SP helped me through the darkest times of my life as a severely mentally ill heroin addict. I swear SP was my only friend. I felt like someone understood me. Someone out there knew exactly how I felt. In my darkest times when I tried to kill myself and ended up in the hospital I would sing SP songs in my head and write the lyrics in books just to feel someone understood. I always wanted to thank Ogre. And I feel it's finally happened lol. Thanks so much for posting this. I have over 3 years sober now. Still struggle so bad with wanting to die because of the hell world we exist in but I'm so thankful to know people understand.
I feel like Skinny Puppy helped me through my worst depressive times too. I remember being in an inpatient facility when I was suicidal and spending the limited computer time we were given to watch Skinny Puppy videos. One of the worst things about being in a mental hospital was not having access to music that made me feel better. It made me appreciate it even more when I got out and made me positive that I had to do anything in my power to make sure I was never in that situation again. Congrats on 3 years sober, that's a major accomplishment. I never tried heroin but I feel like if I ever did I wouldn't have the strength to stop. I hope you're still doing ok.
I also struggle with depression old chap, and SP is one of my all time favorites. I recently got into Killing Joke lately though too... Preoccupations kind of carries the flag though
@@jacobd729 : As a 40+ year old guy, I had gotten introduced to Skinny Puppy my Junior year of high school and was deeply impacted by Last Rights. Many many years have passed hence, and I've gotten into other bands and many genres of music, but SP's music was so intense in that album that it had penetrated the recesses of my mind. Interesting to read your comment and see how some bands seem to run a common thread. Although I had heard about Killing Joke most of my life, I never really gave the band a chance. I knew the song 80's and just left it at that. Fast forward to a little over a year ago, and I started checking out KJ's tunes here on RUclips. I've become a huge fan since and can't put them down. Hearing their music made me think about and crave Skinny Puppy for some reason. I got around to ordering Last Rights about 3 weeks ago on Ebay, and since I received it, I can't help but saying I'm beyond impressed. It seems like each time I listen to it, I hear something new.

I think it's important to recognise, if an animal WAS being hurt, someone called for help. Crying wolf too many times though, can cause people not to get involved, maybe not best thing to keep repeating as you can hide atrocities in plain sight.
Pinpoint pupils, indicative of heroin use. He may have been a hot mess at that time… grew up with him so there’s some storytimes up in my stuff. Like I gotta do the one about the time he brought his pink ballet shoes and leg warmers over to our house for ballet lessons with me when I was little… then told me to never tell anyone and because he wrote stuff without consent that wasn’t entirely true, and about a little girl who was being horribly abused, I might do that one next. Ogre took ballet in his teens I think. Anyhow things weren’t like people think. Things growing up were super messed up and abusive. He may have worked for my mom who might be (I say it’s all alleged for now just to be safe) the Liberty Posse Don. He once promised my mom he’d help k me if she ever needed. Then there’s the doomsday festival big screen footage which looks like he showed all of germany a best of Liberty Posse crimes compilation of explosions, car crashes, possibly some ladies being k’d. 2 people in his life died of overdoses after possibly having problems with them. I think if they had such footage of crimes like that why didn’t they report it and why did they show all of germany? An enemy country. Why did he go in RT and tell all of R about USA weapons capabilities and how he was mad his music was used for enhanced interrogation, after I was there the day he authorized that. Acting all mad later about it. I think they’re dishonest with people. I urge caution on that for fans. Yes their music was groundbreaking at the time. But it was about a lot of alleged crime and little kids lives of horror without always consent. Out a tracking device in my friggin tour jacket too… that Vid is up. None of it was cool or normal. It was an awful way for kids to have to grow up. We helped write Suffering You by 16Volt as kids (I was only about 5-6, when we wrote that, others were 7ish, so very very young) about my mother! As in it was her who made the penicillin joke. Lol. I should do the storytime or this interview cuz it looks like he’s high af. Then later in more recent interviews he seems to have downgraded his addiction to “dabbling.” But they sent him away sometimes it got so bad.
