Matt’s knowledge of these old bikes always has me shaking my head in disbelief and now i see he knows about the colors Harley used. Amazing 😮 as always
Got to say it, wheels through time has some of the most incredible historic Harley’s on the planet! You guys have knocked another one out the park! Beautiful colour combination as well. 💙
What a beautiful bike build! Love the colour combination. Hope you film it on a run, that would be more than cool!! Also to see again how excited Matt gets when these bikes fires up never gets old!!!!
Matt, you make me experience the absolute joy you feel every time you start one of these amazing classic machines. Thank you so much. Keep doing what you do so well...
I love this channel too and its great hearing you experts talking about these beautiful old and rare american bikes. Your restorations are so original and as good and accurate as possible. Its so good the museum is there for your father was an amazing bike enthusiast and keeping his dream going is the biggest compliment and it just doesnt get better than this. I love it, thank you so much for enabling us foreigners to experience the excitement of seeing you talk about them and even better, work on and ride them. A huge thank you also to the older generation for donating their beautiful machines.
What's "ultra rare" is to find a dude as genuine and just awsome to even listen to as Matt. He has forgot more about these old bikes than most of us could even dream of learning. Top notch museum run by top notch people. Another great video 💯
Anyone who doubts that the first starts are exactly that, don't understand the integrity of good honest people. There are plenty of questionable characters in the world. I will always stand with and defend good, honest, God fearing people. Especially if they love Harley Davidsons and classic iron. Much love and respect to you all at the shop. I'm a car painter by trade, and I'd move across the country and paint for you for free. I love and believe in what you do. Thank you for being true to the heritage that brings and binds us together. God bless you all.
Super cool. I'm glad to see you're saving all these pieces of history. I definitely want to come see your museum one day! Videos are always informative and entertaining.
Hell Yeah. I love that little road racer. You guys are living the dream. I'm going to come down there this year and check out the museum Matt. Get my tickets for the giveaway bike. Maybe I'll get to ride that knuckle home this year. If not this year's bike, next year's for sure...later
It is so exciting to see a new build startup, you know Matt, it would be cool you and a cameraman, to go around the shop! We don't get to see that going threw the museum!! Love your videos,!!!!!
You Guys are awesome, Wheels through time is on my bucket list to visit , im in Australia, i wanted to donate so got three tickets to the raffle bike this year, God-bless
Your bikes are so amazing! As a dirt poor mechanic, I'm building a 71 ironhead to look like a thirties bike. Rigid with an aftermarket leaf springer. My only hope for a real beauty is saving for a ticket for your giveaway. Thanks for posting this
Your enthusiasm is absolutely the draw to these videos for me. I love the bikes, but the fact that you can barely contain yourself, makes it fun to watch along.
The UK has certainly got dirt racing tracks for as long as I can remember. Going regularly to watch at Exeter Speedway Track back in the 60's. No idea about the rest of Europe, but we do.
Wow, I love it. It is so cool that frame has it standing tall. It’s got the right everything except Color ! I don’t like the those colors together. I’d love to ride that, bet it will carry the groceries ! Sounds great that exhaust fits it. You two did a great job, except being color blind. 🏍👍🇺🇸
Love all these first starts. Just curious......So there's no first start break-in on a bike engine like you have on a car engine? On the car engines I build I usually run a steady 2000-2500rpm or so to break in the cam and try not to let it idle for the first 15 minutes or so. None of this needed on a bike engine?
Part of the reason for the 2000-2500rpm on a car engine is because much of the oil for the cam is from oil slinging off the crank and oil draining from the head. So, you need some rpm to make sure everything is well oiled. Old bikes like this don’t really circulate oil like more modern stuff and rely on only a few ounces of oil in the bottom end. So, holding a higher rpm isn’t needed to keep things lubes. And, they’re normally using parts that are used so may not need as much break in.
I like how you hear engine noise that Chris and Steve do not. Must be in the genes! You heard the skip and the push rod. Awesome. BTW, did you hit that lower case on the lift ramp? I thought I heard the tell tale noise of that as I do it all the time with my Springer. (Its lowered)
Hey fellas , you should do a video of you riding this bike Matt ! It’s such an amazing motorcycle , i think it would be interesting to see it in action !
Do you guys run regular pump gas in these startups or do you use a premium grade without alcohol in the gas or is there something other? Just curious. Also it looked like the ramp and the floor are the same distance from the top stroke of the kick start. Is there some formula where it becomes different when it comes off the ramp and goes to the floor?
grandpa rode a harley in ww2 as well as drove a jeep. could i bring in a basket case 44-45 project to have you guys finish it? im west coast so itd be a long planning phase, but im absolutely in love with those old bikes. id love to see what grandpa felt, racing behind enemy lines to disarm mines. well minus the chance of getting shot or hitting one of those mines haha. id also love to gift your museum a few books written by the 3rd infantry, engineers battalion. they overwhelmingly used a jeep for the commander of the mission, while the bomb disarmers rode Harleys ahead of them. thank you for continuing these icons stories.
I love the fact that every time Matt starts one of these classic bikes up you would think it was the first time, he had experienced it. Pure joy!
I've said it before. I LOVE this channel! Thanks for what you guys do, and bring to us!
Matt’s knowledge of these old bikes always has me shaking my head in disbelief and now i see he knows about the colors Harley used. Amazing 😮 as always
Where do you guys find these old scooters ?
And the par

She's alive! Matt I never questioned your first-start on any motorcycle. Beautiful machine!
Got to say it, wheels through time has some of the most incredible historic Harley’s on the planet! You guys have knocked another one out the park!

I'm smiling with you guys. Great to see this vintage beauty brought to life again!
You guys built this 2 years ago.....and resisted the temptation to start it up for all that time? Wow that's dedication :) 👍
Matt, you make me experience the absolute joy you feel every time you start one of these amazing classic machines. Thank you so much. Keep doing what you do so well...

Wow! What a headturner! Definitely for the road. Thanks for this video
Possibly the best HD I've ever seen....
My uncle's first bike was a '29 JD. The JD is one of my favorite models of vintage Harleys because of that. Sweet bike!!
These pre war Harley’s just have the look that excites me.
That is simply a stunning motorcycle. I love the colors!
Oh I love what you do with these old bikes
Nice bike and like the realism that things can loosen up after a break in run
Nice one!. Love old bits of kit being bought back to life!. Great sound too!. Nuff said!. 🙂

Great job on the paint choice!!
Beautiful bike, great job as always.
I used Caswell in my SC tank. Ordered gray, received clear. Fill and road test soon.
The color scheme is eye ball catching besides the out of the ball park build
Fantastic bike, love it, colours work perfectly together. Is it for sale?
Is having the throttle cables inside the bars a stock feature? This is such a beautiful machine!
That is an amazing shop you have

My old boss was a Harley mechanic from way back. He always refereed to bikes as 61s, 74s or 80s.
Really nice build. Looks really tough . 👍
Sounds similar to the 29 DAR. Love it.
Oh My Goodness what a beautiful sound !

I need that bike. Another beautiful bike.
Another amazing motorcycle! Sounds great.
My grandfather had a 1926 JD back in the day he was so cool 😎
Those colors are amazing
I counted 4 kicks on the first start. Beautiful machine!
I have a fully restored 1929 BSA, it's all original and has the same look as it did from the factory 😁
Awesome color combination
Great job guys 👍
That all if not most of you're bike's start that easily just show the time and care you take , It show's pride in work not shown anymore .

Also it looked like the ramp and the floor are the same distance from the top stroke of the kick start. Is there a specific reason for the loop in the oil/fuel lines? or is it purely aesthetics?
grandpa rode a harley in ww2 as well as drove a jeep.
