    Casper Ruud was a stooge on Stake for this game against an in form Alcaraz and yet he managed to win this game, but when you watch these highlights that you have put together it shows Alcaraz be in total control of the game, how is that possible? If you watch only this highlight vid you would think Ruud lost by alot 😂

      Alcaraz has achieved more than any of the big 3 did at his age already. He’s shown plenty of mental strength with 5 set win at Wimbledon final against a ruthless Djokovic in 2023. And winning RG this year after being down 2-1 sets in both the semi-final and final. You are also comparing the entirety of the big 3’s careers to the very beginning of Alcaraz’s. He’s already a legend of the sport, give him some time to improve the consistency (especially on indoor hard courts).

    Guys, accept this simple fact that it is "the winners" that are put into the highlights, not errors. There's no Alcaraz lobby that forces Tennis TV to put more of his and less of the opponent's points, it is simply that Alcaraz gets more winners than the opponent. So it is only natural that his points are represented more, even in matches that he chokes.
    Simple facts.

    Guys, it's not a good idea to have the highlights exclusively at the court-level view. This is great for some points, from time to time, but it's too much for all the points. We're loosing a lot of the angles, dynamics and the points strategy.

    I hope that Alcaraz will not become that kind of player that everyone ends up figuring out, to the point that it becomes very difficult to win. Maybe, it was too early to compare him with the big three. If I am not mistaken, one of their strengths was consistency.

    Not shocking atp, Alcaraz’s level on fast indoor hard courts is very streaky. You can tell he suffers a little from some type of mental anxiety as well just by how tight he plays nowadays.

    Ruud demolished Alcaraz, expected. I said it so many times, Alcaraz is a top30 at the most player on indoor hard courts. He succeeded to lose with Ruud who is also not very good on hard courts

      @juanquintana6070 Месяц назад

      You don't know what you are talking about,maybe because you don't like Carlos. He has won Beijing Open beating Sinner(indoors) , he took the Europe team on his shoulders to win the Laver Cup(also indoors) and then he lose to Machac in Shanghai and got the final in Arabia where he lost to Sinner. Any player would like to get that for the end of year where most of the players are tired.

    • @usermatisse
      @usermatisse Месяц назад +2

      @juanquintana6070 Ruud was also tired but won 1st set 6-1. And Alcaraz lost so many breaks. It is pretty evident that Alcaraz is not even a top ten on indoor hard courts

      @SanjeevKumar-sw6hk Месяц назад

      I may be wrong, but in my view the biggest strength is finishing at the net. When Rudd got the answer for that, he (Alcaraz) became clueless. Alcaraz is not able to win rallies from baseline nowadays that is why he is getting inconsistent. This is my reading of his game.

    By watching these HL you wouldn't understand why Ruud won the match - even if Alcaraz points are more spectacular some good HL should represent or sum up how the match unfolded. It's not the first time I have noticed this, so I am not too surprised, but it always leaves me with a strange impression of something wrong in it.

  • @timcheng6870

    Alcaraz doesn't seem to have fully recovered, mentally, from the loss of Paris Olympics to Djokovic, despite of the fact that he won a ATP 500 tournament in Beijing. He was too eager to win and perhaps too confident so that the loss to a slightly injured Djokovic was unacceptable to himself. That possibly caused some emotional damage, seriously, to him. From the social media X (Twitter), Carlos sets 'always 💯' for himself and that shows he is apparently an extreme perfectionist. While he has achieved something that no one has done, such as the youngest player to win 3 types of slams blah blah, which doesn't mean he is automatically the GOAT, and when facing the proved GOAT, he should expect the quite big chance of loss and he definitely has something to improve, both technique-wise and on mental toughness.
