Nice. I love the form factor of my i3t after buying that seeing your other video, but the extra length of the i3tplus certainly suits being shoved in my backpack. My i3t spends most of its days in my jeans pocket it's just so handy to have. Sometimes simplicity of use, basic functionality and an easily user replaced battery is all you need for a solid product. Olight nailed it with these flashlights.
Will likely be buying both... Still, it would have been nicer had there been a medium mode of 160 lm...I think olight is purposely not including aM mixed to keep people buying Baton, Warrior and Seeker lights
Good tip sticking the light behind your ear so I got to thinking. My beany has a fold up around it's edge so I clipped my short i3T onto that at the side and somehow it works really well? I also bought a 3T plus and would use that if I wanted longer battery life otherwise I think I still prefer the shorter 3T but they both need a mid power setting as the low is often to low and the high setting to high.
@@MoorlanderEDC I read that people are putting 10440 3.7v lithium batteries into the i3t with some super bright results. Will be trying that shortly but seems to be the way things are going with small AAA torches.
I think it's once per press (on and off). I'm not sure these have anything in there as far as a memory style unit to track that, or, I don't think they have a temperature unit in there too. If could potentially over heat and do some damage if you kept doing it.
@@MoorlanderEDC thanks appreciate that, yeah I thought it would be strange for just one minute of super bright light and that’s it down to 100lms for the rest, I’ve one on the way so looking forward to testing it out 👍
Question for those who are into tacticool torches. Do you go for the brightest torches available in your chosen size? Coming from a military background where bright torches aren’t tactical, I’ve thought about this question on and off, (no pun intended).
I got the i3T just because of the 5 lumens. I still have a stronger lamp, but use 80% the weakest mode, 15% the middle mode if it is extremely dark and only 5% the highest mode to illuminate the surrounding. Like to keep my night vision as good as possible.
Hi Karlos. I think I know what you mean. I think the high lumen levels in modern lights is pretty much a pee'ing up a wall competition. The super high lumen levels really aren't useful. 1000lm is high enough. I think the ta rical edge really is just to startle or blind in an altercation... Imagine lighting up a 15k lumen light whilst bunkered down on an exercise
@@MoorlanderEDC It was either a right angle torch with a red or green filter or if you were lucky enough to own one, an mini maglite with a filter. Suggest maglites to anyone these days and it reverts to that ‘peeing up the wall’ aspect you alluded to.
Does it remember what mode you left it in ? I'd like to see 3 lumen settings low medium high and memory of which mode you were in last. On the smaller one and this one.
Hi KFT, no memory on this light. It will always turn on the low mode, and the high mode it only available with a double click whilst on. It's a super simple method. I hope this helps 👍

I think it is less interesting this than the versatility of the Wuben H5 you showed us The difference in views for your video comparing to the Wuben is the marketing of Olight (just see how much videos on YT when there are promos / special days) ^^

I have both of these lights there great
Hey RSF, yep, they're definitely two of the best EDC lights out there right now for sure. Have a great week buddy
Quick question, does it go to 250 lumens for 1 minute every time you turn it off and on or just once per fresh battery? Thanks

You're in good company Christian. The lower levels are more manageable and easier on your night vision... And definitely don't wake up you wife 😂

😊 They're definitely different takes on an EDC light for sure
I’ll like all your videos if you include inches as well. Btw I have both these lights, they’re awesome!
Hi Alex. I do sometimes add them or have an inch ruler in them. I must have forgotten today. I'll make sure to add it in 👍
Liked. 👍🏻👊🏻
Thanks Karlos ✊
