- The Classic Game Room lost a review episode into the sea of tapes from the old Inecom Entertainment archives, and with it the timeless review of the space shooter OMEGA BOOST. Game Room recorded the episode in February of 2000 and CGR-HD remastered it in April of 2008 with the master studio footage and new video game footage. This episode will also teach you how to edit, post videos on RUclips in HD with superior quality video and audio, mix, author, use Betacam SP tape decks, Canon XH A1 (XHA1), Adobe Premiere Pro with Matrox Axio LE, Premier, Photoshop and video editing software. Booya!
Omega Boost was created by Polyphony Digital, the same people who brought you the Gran Turismo series. You fly around as an awesome robot and destroy wave after wave of science fiction movie style enemies. Dave thought the game was like Robotech mixed with Panzer Dragoon, Mark thinks it has a great subwoofer friendly sountrack with machine gun sounds and music from Static-X. Do you like Robotech, Star Wars, Panzer Dragoon Zwei, Battle of the Planets, Voltron, Tranzor Z, Silverhawks or any other awesome 80's cartoon robots? Did you play Project Sypheed on the Xbox 360? If so you'll love Omega Boost.
Classic Game Room reviewed Atari, NES, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast and Playstation... too bad they didn't get to Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 or Wii. Now Classic Game Room HD is covering the new systems. GT5 GT 5 Prologue.
Classic Game Room is on DVD.
Man, I miss classic game room.
Wonderful video, I was wondering how it was all done, thank you very much for all of the effort you guys put in for these videos, and the work that, unfortunately, you're continuing by yourself Mark. I'm sure others would agree with me, but I greatly appreciate it. I always stop by RUclips to watch at least one video a day. It's one of my favorite parts of the day.
Keep it up Mark, and tell Dave we all say hello.
Great vid Mark, 30 years of gaming to review..I can drink to that!
Dude that was WAY cool! Thank you for showing us your bad ass editing gear. I was wondering how you go about all of restore process. I have been getting into editing since I started releasing my youtube videos. I am starting to get better but then I see this and WOW! My hat is truly off to you sir. You keep making them and I will keep watching/commenting/5 staring them! This like a few of your other videos is going into my favorites. You deserve more attention!
I am not sure what I stumbled across while searching "gameplay" by date, but this vid was interesting.
Very cool seeing the old footage again Mark. I feel 15 all over again
Very cool! Who knew you liked us so much that you put so much care into this!
more shows should do videos like this.. just to show how it's all made.. because there are people (Like me) who love seeing this kind of things.... great work!!!
Dave looks like the lead singer for Madness back in the 80s.
This show will always be treasure, this show is a standard on RUclips's original games review programs. If this show ever gets pulled off RUclips it would be a sad day. It's sad enough Mark stopped content.
CGR is back 🎉
such videos are vry intresting! more of them plz :)
I like the unique videos, like this and the epic voyage to pick up a Saturn. Not many folks do this kind of thing.
Are there still old CGR episodes not uploaded? I'd love to see them all.
thats awesome, I'd like to see more behind the scenes footage, do you, or did you do any behind the scenes stuff for the first season of Classic Game Room?
Respect for the game room!
Now I always have something new to watch every day :p
You do deserve a lot more attention.
excellent making of episode mark,I would like to see more of that, since those high end electronics push my buttons for awesomeness :)
also, betamax, never seen much of it here in europe, although it's said that television broadcast and high end editing was done on that. old electronics, games and that, is just pure awesome.
great video.
You inspired me! I'm gonna get an extra monitor to hook up to my computer to use when I'm editing video.

Hello Mark,
I am watching this for the first time a further 8 years in the future & I thought I'd let you know that CGR is still alive & kicking today & that you became even wealthier than you were 8 years ago, or 16 years ago in my time.
I am now stepping into my time machine. I will see you in 2024.
