Wagyu History Series - Dr. Charles Gaskins: Emeritus Professor Behind the First Wagyu EPDs in the US

We sat down with Dr. Charles Gaskins to talk about his early involvement in the Wagyu industry in America. He was instrumental in establishing the first National Wagyu Sire Summary at Washington State University, generating first Wagyu EPDs in America. The first National Wagyu Sire Summary was published in 1999, and the last version was published in 2017. Dr. Gaskins' contributions to the early years of the Wagyu breed, particularly relating to collecting carcass data and establishing the sire summary, were invaluable.
