At 1.14 you push the thread through the tension Spring.. l can't see how you do this as your hand covers the part do you push it down then back up. I think my spring might be dented as I can't get my thread on Help
Hi Deborah. Sorry, my hand covered that part. This other video should help, not the same machine but the same tension assembly. View the video by clicking this link: ruclips.net/video/uCBbJ2rVOW8/видео.html
I have been given a sewing machine after the death of my friend it is a hand crank, it looks very much like this one, would it be the same method of threading please
Hi bugwandis. So sorry about that, but very soon am going to make another video with the same or a similar sewing machine showing clearly the part that you missed. I will be tagging you to the new video. Thanks
Thanks for your tutorial, it makes more sense than the instruction manual for my Jones D-65. X
Brilliant 😊 thankyou
Thank you so much for this great video! Would you mind showing me how to install the bobbin? My thread keeps getting stuck.

What way is the flat of the needle facing when putting on the machine
Hi. The flat side should face the right side.
How good is this product
Very good. Google Vintage Jones sewing machines to read reviews.

Hi Joan. If it looks the same the threading would be the same method, be it electric or hand crank.
Could not see what you were doing after 1:17. Might be my eyes but found it very hard to see.

@@tees.sewingmachines thank you. May be fine for someone better with it than me, but I'm a complete beginner. 🙈
