@Jefferson Mason Right. There are quite a few black drum majors in PWI bands. As a matter of fact, The Ohio State University Marching Band has a black female drum major named Morgan Davis and we all know the reputation Ohio State has in the band world. They are beasts, year in and year out. Morgan is the first ever black female drum major for Ohio State and only the 4th female in that band's history to lead the band. The goal is to put the best on the field after tryouts. It just so happens that one of the best in Ohio State's band is a black woman. Same thing with the white guy for Langston. 🎷⛈
