Greg, I can't wait!!!... The Set-up for the Wok looks totally easy. I've already gone to my local Asian market stocked up on needed supplies.. I have a few chef friends coming over once i get the EZ Wok, and we are going to cook a bunch of your you tube recipes. And i know once they cook dishes with the right heat.. their going to be ordering the EZ Wok as well my man!! Oh.. and were going to make some videos of us using your wok to demonstrate just how simple it is to use.. WOK ON MY MAN!!!
Mr. Wong, you are a very polite man. Your family brought you up well. Your dishes are simple to follow and learn. I have watched your videos for quite some time, you have acquire and attain the essence, knowledge and skill of good Chinese cooking. Did you learn your cooking from your father? If you did, he taught you well. Too bad I am from Canada, might not able to purchase your EZ-Wok cooking system. I always want a system like that to do genuine good Chinese cooking at home just like the restaurant. Keep up the good work. Thanks!!
Cooking with Greg Wong Thanks Greg. Home electric stove just don't cut it for good Chinese cooking. It is particular true and frustrated to me because I was a Chinese cook for many years. I will check out your web site.
This was a very informative video. I've been using burners like this for a very long time and always wondered what the Red bulky thing was for by the propane outlet (but mine is blue). Great instructions and advices!
Thank you for watching David- The connection to the tank is usually the same with the regulator- The connection from fuel line to burner may vary, with the burner I use, I have modified mine so the connection is a threaded connection, just felt a bit more comfortable for me(safety) also using a 90 degree fitting-the fuel line goes down instead of to my body. Hope that answered your question! Cheers G
Greg, what you have put together is AMAZING. it IS really easy to adjust and operate. Good video! This rocket ship burner is very responsive, and it sure cooks! I just made a breakfast soup in less than 5 min. and that includes flashing brussel sprouts chopped in half and they came out perfect.
Report Card on the EZ Wok. After 1 yr of use of the EZ Wok... It's number One feature is... How inexpensive and efficient it is with gas to cook with. I filled the standard gas grill tank a yr ago.. used the EZ Wok at least 25 times... And its still going. Its nearing the end of the tank.. but I've never got that many uses from a single tank of gas using my standard grill. And i cooked a boat load of dishes on it feeding 100's of people.. Secondly: With just a little practice and following Greg's instructions setting the regulator and air mixture.. you maximize cooking time and insure you don't apply to much heat to your food. Heating water or oil you quickly get the feel for how much heat to apply. Thirdly: At first i sorta of fumbled with the control like any novice but quickly mastered it and the results showed in the quality of the food.. So it's a short learning curve for heat control.. And like Greg has pointed out in many of his videos you can hear what the food is doing in the Wok and adjust the heat accordingly. Fourthly: Greg has provided a high quality tool that almost insures your success in the craft of recreating either Traditional Chinese culinary dishes or American Chinese Takeout. Thinking on it now.. I've changed my mind.. The number One feature of Greg Wong's EZ-Wok and it's the most important one of the EZ-Wok.. is the smiles and fascination and the jaw drop when people taste the food you prepare and cook for them right in their back yards.. And I've taken my EZ-Wok to BBQ's and family gatherings and young and old alike are simply amazed with the food and the units well built quality and people always point out its construction is all stainless steel. And I demonstrate just how easy clean up is after cooking for a hour or more.. It wipes down clean and maintains a sanitized shiny brand new look.. Which is cool for Guy Pride when your sporting the Corvette of out door cooking centers.. Disclaimer: Greg did not prompt me to write this review.. I get no discounts or kick back for doing so.. I'm a Customer and can appreciate a quality product that delivers everything Greg said it could do and more.. I hope my observations and opinions help in your decision if you're considering the purchase of an EZ-Wok provided by Greg Wong... Because its worth every penny.. And how many products today can you say that about... Respectfully Submitted, David S Edgerly Whitman, Ma.
I agree infinity on everything you said and will back you up on it. I have an original Wonder Wok and it's built and runs like a tank, but it folds up and moves like a feather. But the main things like you said are TRUTH! Guest and friends are always saying "it's done?" and then when they taste any recipe Greg has taught us, they are AMAZED. This is a no brainer to have Gregs system for those who love to cook, or even have bigger families to cook for. Save Time. Save Money. I use my setup everyday for something, and it's true, a propane tank that never seems to run out, like that Barbasol shaving cream can. lol
Shindukess, Guess I'm old school. I've had electric starters before. It's one less thing to have go bad. The old school version has been working for the past 20 years. Great suggestion, thank you!
I received my kit and put everything together late this afternoon. Tomorrow I adjust the burner and season the wok. Thanks for the very good instructional videos. BTW, you mentioned at one point a cover that fits over the system. I think that would be a good addition to help keep the system clean as it will be an outdoor use appliance. Do you have a kink to that cover? Thanks for the information.
 I've had one of these for three years now. I throw a BBQ cover on it, and it lives in a covered location for 3/4 of year just fine minus some stray rain when it's very windy. In the winter, I usually take the whole burner assembly inside (with the time the sun goes down, I don't do a lot of woking in the winter), and leave the cart covered. Burner and cart looking fine after three years in the PNW where it is very damp. Hooked it all back up today (hello Spring!) which is why I'm back to watching these videos and saw this. Good luck.
Greg this is a great product! Looks like one of the better units available. Do you know approximately how long a standard propane tank lasts, lets say using the wok 4 days a week. Also, do you know the BTU output. Any idea would be appreciated. Thanks
I, too, would like to know the BTU output of this burner. It concerns me that this critical specification is listed nowhere here or on your website. High pressure is nice, but exactly how much energy this emits.
Hey Greg. Nice system you got here. One thing I think would be a nice revision is a built in electric starter for the flame. Some people are scared to get the pilot light going and an electric starter is just convenient.
Drummerchef851, 4 meals a week, the fuel would last a while. I talk that 3 gallon tank camping often minimum 3 nights sometimes 4. I do breakfast and dinners + heat my shower bag with it. BTU's I would guess up words of 100,000 Thanks for watching! Greg
Hello Greg, What do i need to buy to make this stove operating in France? Because the connector of gas tank in France is not the same as your. Thank you.
Hello deltafour1212, It has been my experience with the X72 / 72k btu burner, that I have been able to accomplish everything with it as I did with my older burners that did put out 100k. I continue to practice my Wok Hei skills - this burner at 72k BTU's has no problem giving me the heat I need to accomplish this. The other Key for me is the fuel consumption. When I started using these type of high pressure LP gas burners back in the 90's after my store closed, I was thrilled to find a tool that would allow me to continue to cook the foods I enjoy most & share with clients, friends & family. When I got my hands on the X72 and discovered I was still getting the same results as I did with my older burners but now I'm not going through the fuel like before. (Big key for me) I still have the old burners & they still work, I just enjoy the fuel savings : )) Thank you for checking in. Hope that answered your question!
Eht Ostaf hello Eht!, either way, there is still a lot of heat to accomplish the task- it comes down to how long it takes to burn the factory seal off.
How many BTU is this burner? Why dont you contact me so i can order one. I have sent several requests for you to contact me. Why dont you have a number to call and ask questions?
Mine just showed up today, I gotta say im pretty excited to get my WOK on 🍻😎
Thanks for this video, Greg. I'm about to get one of these burners.

Is 72k BTU's enough for stir fry? If you want that restaurant taste, don't you need at least 100k to 150K BTU's?
