I remember when I was about 6 years old, I would go to my uncles house, and always would be super excited to see his entire collection of the Star Wars hung up across his entire wall! I would ask him if could open one, and play with it, but he always said no because they were collectables which at the time I did not understand what he meant by that. Now when I go to his house the collection is gone, and not on the wall anymore, and I don't know what he did with them, but if he still has them, and didn't give them away or had sold them, then he could be rich. Let me say he had over 100, but I could be exaggerating because this was all the way since I was 6, but who knows.

My dad and his brothers used to have a massive collection of star wars stuff (they have a picture of there hundreds of star wars things) and My dad went to a vintage toy store and was shocked at the extremely high prices for figurines & stuff and my dad told me he pretty much had everything in the star wars section there but they just donated it all to goodwill. I was sad.

Yes, my mom had put together my brothers sets when they were young, and they are now 30 years old. They had full sets of the gold silver and original Pokémon cards and they sold them in a garage sale for a dollar a card in the early 2000s.

I have an 20y old tamagotchi somewhere in my parents sofa, lost in the padding somewhere 😂 I remember losing it in there, not being able to find it, a few weeks later I heard that sound they made when your pet died.. but no one had tried to get it out yet..
And they also have not one, but two working VHS players..
AND the Harry Potter books, but not in English..

Stuff is selling. It's just not always right away or overnight. When it doesn't sell in a reasonable amount of time, then discounts can help move the items. Better to get most of what the value is than have it sit in a bin taking up space. If it is a hot item, it will usually sell within days or the first or second week. Beyond that, usually means whatever it is, is not overly appealing to bidders.

Alpha Black Lotus had a print run of 1100 pcs. Also an artist proof signed by the artist was bought by Post Malone for 800k (50 proofs exist per card and are explicitely given to the artist).
Funnily enough Post bought the 1/1 serialized One Ring some weeks ago for over 2 million (It’s said to be 2,6-2,7 million, since he wanted to compensate the taxes for the seller)

15:20 My grandma has sent me BOXES of these things before! i had to throw a couple that had mold on them away when moving rooms, and while sorting through everything i saw a valentino bear, and me and my sister used to throw around the gobbles plushies! and i have like 3 princess plushies! ones been moving around my house for like 3 years now, ones in a box, and the other hit a shelf and dissapeared.
My mom probably has tons of these expensive thingys in her garage and attic, most likely worth a lot less now because of how long theyve been in there un-touched. and my dad has tons of random old discs, cds and movies.

My ex had collected comics since he was a kid in the 1950s, and would always place them in clear sleeves with cardboard backing. In 1978, he sold a box of assorted comics for $50 for the whole box. In the box was the very first issue of The Amazing Spider Man.

in 1978, ASM 1 was about $45-145 (I have my 1978 price guide on me =)) Now if it was the 1966 Golden Records reprint, it would only be $1-5. So in 1978 to get $50 for the whole box wasn't the end of the world. It hurts, but it was about right for the period.

One of my friends owns a sports card memorabilia shop. One day we were sitting there watching the Saints play and a regular customer comes in. He asked my friend if he could stash his Star Wars figures at the shop while he was moving. He didnt want them to get damaged by another box or misplaced. Of course my friend said yes. We did ask him if we could look throgh them and he said please be careful none of them were opened. I'm not a Star Wars fan and liked Star Trek and thats a fight for another day. Lol. A couple of days later he called and I answered the phone. He was letting us know that he was running late and asked ifI could stay there till he made it to get his stuff. I said sure man, I have some money for you too. He said Money, money for what? Oh we went on and put them out to sell for you. Man at $10ea those things were flying out the door. We even had to put a 3 per person sign up!!! I think that if the Incredible Hulk was real, this guy just turned into him. But hey, he got there early and I didn't have to stay late. Lol. No we didn't sale them and we only looked at a couple. We knew that it was a ton of money in this huge box. He said that his grandpa bought him 1 every time he went to the store. He must have went a lot, there was at least 1,000 of them in this big dishwasher box.

Does anyone remember those “gold” plated Pokémon cards? I was given a charizard one by a friend once when I was moving away. I think she got it as a happy meal! I was obsessed with charizard too! Prob not worth thousands but it meant a lot to me haha

I remember a while back when Pokémon craze hit a fever pitch, a snack company came up with Pokémon pogs featuring the original 151 creatures. They'd stuff them in chip bags so you'd have to buy an ungodly amount of chips in order to get or trade your way to a full set. Needless to say they were quite abundant and rather worthless once the novelty wore off.
However, since nobody really thought to care for them and apparently being a Latin America promotional campaign only, they became quite valuable among avid collectors. Last I heard, a full good-condition set sold in 2019 for approximately $12,000. Big money for literally a snack goodie.
    Cheers!

For Logan Pauls one. It’s because he managed to cross grade it into a BGS ten rather than PSA ten. Bgs are known for being much stricter and the fact that the sub grades are 4 10s, and one 9.5 is insane. The person he bought them from, Big man Gary tried to cross grade his other Charizard 10s but none of them got accepted. If Logan Paul got a black level Beccket that card would be likely be top 3 most expensive cards of all time.

Yeah but you get to the point of becoming a hoarder and pretty soon you get to the point of never being able to throw anything out. I still have my original Commodore Vic 20 that I bought back in the 80s because I was always a big technophile and never had a lot of money back then, so for me to throw that out now would be like throwing out the 200 bucks it cost me brand new 40 years ago when the minimum wage was $3.35 an hour. With something like electronics antiquifying so quickly with respect to other collectibles it makes sense to want back what you invested in it in the first place.

  • @heatherphilips9227
    @heatherphilips9227 Год назад

Here's something I hope folks read, before throwing this item away! Check your attic, garage, storage bin...
If you happen to still have that old, beat-up rubber soccer ball you used in your soccer games between 1965 and 1982, DONT THROW IT AWAY, it could be worth some money.

    WHY?
Because if it was used in soccer games, then there's a high probability it had a thin polyurethane rubber carcass (not thick vulcanized rubber). So, if you got one that you have not thrown out, and it's very worn (forget about it holding air, this is not important right now), and it was used in soccer games over 40-50 years ago, than it could possibly put at least (I said at least) $100 in your pocket.
    Here's the details.
    Size 5
Very worn (don't worry about it being flat)
Was game used in late 1960s / 1970s (not a backyard kickball)
    Does not have "dry rot"!
    Minimum $100 for each ball!
Who would have ever thought old rubber soccer balls could be worth anything!

So, as of when this comment came out, I’ve watched this episode before. Seeing the beanie babies, I was intrigued if I could spot one later on. Although I soon lost interest days later.
On about May 8th, 2022, my Mother took me and my sibling to a local thrift shop. My sibling was browsing through the teddies when suddenly… I spotted her… An exact copy of the Princess Diana Beanie Bear! I checked the date when it seemed to be created: 1997…
It was a collection of the Princess set.
Surprisingly, I quickly remembered this episode.
And luckily, the bear was only being sold for $2.50! I persuaded my Mother to let me purchase it.
“I’m so lucky.” I thought to myself!
Although, I checked here again, this beanie was only P.E pellets…
