I'm back with another speed build (this was meant for Friday, apologies about that) The Homestead is an American style farmhouse with lots of areas to grow all sorts of produce!

At first I was disappointed that this wasn't your dream home, but now I'm so grateful you included this build! I'm from the US state of Michigan and this looks like it couldve been pulled from google maps near me! The cherry tree orchard is especially reminiscent of home. Stunning as always!
Same except I live in Iowa and I don't have cherry blossom trees nearby either lol 😊💖
I also built a stable on a separate lot from my family lot, and honestly I actually really like how the game play worked out. My sims can just walk down the street (plus a loading screen lol) and then ride horses when they want without having to babysit the horses and have them take up any household sim slots. It's a less high maintenance way to "have" horses. Plus, the horses have a full time care taker and my sim family are the kind of rich sims that would own a private stable down the road anyways. I definitely think I'll do this for more save files!

I don’t know what part of the US it’s SUPPOSED to be, but the scenery and the house (particularly the addition of the cherry orchard) reminds me a lot of northern Michigan. Such a beautiful and cozy build

Lovely farmhouse, Aden! Not what would be considered Craftsman architecture , but typical of many older farmhouses in the US, where structures evolve over the years: Federal or Colonial style bones (late 1700s to early 1800s) which like Georgian architecture is very rectangular/symmetrical with not much ornamentation…porches would be added later (Victorian) and more decorative trim, etc., and eventually more contemporary features, new roofing, etc. This is almost Eclectic Victorian (your porch trims are very similar to the 1890s cottage I live in, aka The Cozy Nook!)
I think it would normally be called Prairie style as it looks like a lot of the homes on the farms in the Midwestern part of the U.S. You did a wonderful job Aden as always!

THIS is my dream farmhouse. I wouldn't want to grow crops for a living, but a small summer garden, the greenhouse to grow some things during the winter and a few chickens for fresh eggs sounds like heaven. ❤❤

Good luck with keeping the plants alive! My sims were depending on the garden for income but the weeds won’t go away no matter what I try, so the plants die after a while.
This build reminded me a little bit of the house in the Disney series "Secrets of Sulphur Springs". Good series and your build is lovely! The chicken running up the path at the start of the vid was so cute!
Copperdale is apparently based on Idaho in the rocky mountains, this build is beautiful!

Such a pretty homestead, Aden! Happy to hear you had an exciting weekend but as someone in their mid 30’s, I know what you mean about two week hangovers. THE WORST
This build is stunning!! I’m from rural upstate NY and these are the types of homes that I grew up around. I call them Colonial Farmhouses but not sure if that’s a real name for them 😂. Unfortunately, most of them are not maintained in my area. Either the owners don’t have the money or they have working farms and the money goes to the business and not the house.
P.s. I love when you use CC. Since I don’t own many packs I have to already refurnish most builds so it’s really fun when I can download the CC for it.
Thank you for saying that it would be nice to have bigger lots. It's the first time I've heard that stated on the tube. I thought I was alone and over-indulgent. Well, I am. But I don't appreciate it being drilled in. ♥ and 😄

A colonial farmhouse, during the war of independence I’ve seen pictures and films of East coast, north and south that are like this. you can find them in period films. Looking forward to the next build world!

I feel like copperdale is supposed to be a mash up of the Pacific Northwest and the Great Lakes Regions, which do look weirdly alike even though they’re on opposite sides of the country
I wasn't exactly waiting for the video, just unreasonably worried about you kkkkkkk. I was like "did he say anything about not posting on Friday? Did I erased it from my memory? What's going on??". Totally forgot that you were sick, oops kkkkkk. Someone said in the comments that the build looked like Green Gables and I totally agree, it gives the same good vibes, loved it!

According to the Wiki Fandom, Copperdale is supposed to be based on the Rocky Mountains region (which basically covers ten US states on the western part of the country from north to south soooo... 😅)

Every time a creator says, "I wish we had", I'm thinking, Sims 2. Could put different sized lots along any road and on hills.
I would says this house is a mix of Colonial and victorian style.

In case you’re still wondering, we Americans usually refer to this style of farmhouse as colonial style but I’ve also heard it be called a traditional style farmhouse which is basically the same thing. 😊Hope that helps!
Also Copperdale has many interpretations for the place it may be inspired by. In the sims wiki it says it’s likely inspired by the Rocky Mountain Region, think Colorado, Utah, Wyoming,Idaho, and Montana, so the Pacific central/northwest region. However, there is also speculation that Copperdale is based on the town of Riverdale from the Archie comics which is likely based in New York near the Canadian border. If this is the case then it places the inspiration in the Northeast. I personally think the Rocky Mountain region is more likely the inspiration for Copperdale though.
