suggestion for spooky season: do a build inspired by the land of the dead in coco! I think the whimsical and colorful stacks of houses are right up your alley. and the newest pack being inspired by mexico city is calling for something día de muertos related edit: life and death expansion pack confirmed, the land of the dead HAS to happen
and the free holiday pack has día de los muertos decor! with lovestruck being mexico city themed, there's no shortage of stuff. plus we have orange flowers that look kinda like marigolds, i i believe there is an ofrenda in game from the holiday pack
That part behind the school with the cauldrons is so cute, and if we think about the context of the story, because in Monster High G3, witchcraft was forbidden but Draculaura liked witchcraft and she showed to the others how beautiful it can be, and in the S2 we see Skelita also wanting to learn witchcraft, not to mention that all characters support Draculaura for being a witch and also she has a human friend that also likes witchcraft and she wants her to visit Monster High. So I like to imagine that that little place could be like a Witchcraft Club or something where Draculaura teaches other students witchcraft or they learn together different ways to do that how we see in S2.
I know its a rumor but if we are getting life and death, I too hope we get more spooky furniture. There is simply not enough for all my spooky occult needs. I love being witches and werewolves and vampires! Fantastic build!
Please please please do Robecca Steam and Venus McFlytrap!! They were two of my favorites (from a long list)!!! I'm pretty sure in some Monster High written material they're roommates!
About what you said about fall. In my country (Poland) we use term "Jesieniara" which can be translated as something like a "fall girl" and and it means that you have a very specific relationship with fall (like you love it and you are always ready for it even if it's the middle of summer). So what I'm getting at this is Syd you are a Jesieniara and we love that :D
I loved the spiderweb and the time and effort you put into the facade details! My only suggestion would be to use a different blackboard in the cauldron class because if you place more than two per school, it's possible that your Sims will be assigned to a class without a teacher. There's another board from the Get to Work expansion, in the detective career. It doesn’t have the same aesthetic, but it will avoid the student assignment issue. Anyways, great work as always, Syd! Can't wait to watch part 2! 🥰

Idk if you're gonna read this in time but I think an easier way to make the spider web pattern in TS4cwould be to make it like spiders do irl. First, you make the lines across, then you do the surrounding octagons.

To make the high school functional, think you can only use the high school pack blackboards for classrooms with desks and chairs in them or else it will glitch with gameplay. There’s other blackboards tho like the one from get to work. I Love this build such a cute build to go into fall with! ❤

Watching your videos made me start playing Sims again and I actually have the confidence to build again thanks to your little tips and tricks. ohmygosh im obsessed with this!!! I think in order for it to be functional as an actual school it should have a library/study area with computers and bookshelves, 2 classrooms bc that's needed in the highschool pack, but maybe some things that aren't necessarily normal but would make sense if it was in the monster high universe. Maybe a gardening/greenhouse room? lots of cowplants ahahaha, a student kitchen if they wanted to be chefs, maybe they're making some horror themed foods, a bar area could attach to that they could be making monster cocktails, I think a dance room where they hold their dances would be cool maybe it could be underground almost like an underground club? Can't wait to see your ideas and how the interior turns out! ^_^

If the life and death are real in the Sims I'm picturing it being like maybe a heaven and hell type. New occults being angels and demons (devils) and there's an "underworld" where the demons are and a heaven like place where angels are. Maybe clouds and sunshine, gold. That would be cool but an actual psychotic twist to how far the Sims team is willing to go with this game. Also, to add, it would probably be a great opportunity for them to add more religious specs to the game.

I know this is probably weird to mention, but i always watch your videos at night before bed. And i have insomnia. Just you explaining and your voice is so nice, I'm able to fall asleep. I always do end up finishing the video another time

You should build tiny homes in places they don’t belong but make them look like they belong! like a tiny penthouse or a tiny house on the pier- places like that!!
It was such a big monster high girl when I was a kid! and I still am those movies were so good. I'm personally more of a fan of the older movies than the recent just because they're so near and dear to me
You definitely have to add the pool/pond inside for lagoona blue and gill and the other fish related monsters it’s such an integral element to the school

What would be a fun idea is make a basement and make it so it’s like the catacombs from G1 !!! Because that was a big part in the movies and what not haha :) also a abbey dorm room would be so fun everyone leaves out my girl abbey :((
maybe you could recreate the creatures on top of the towers using one of the moon lamps in the game! placing it inside of the spheres to make it look like little horns peaking out?
