About Occupy Mars:
Occupy Mars is a technical, open-world sandbox, survival game about Mars colonization inspired by the most promising technologies and companies that are working towards the goal of humanity becoming a multi-planet species.
Build and upgrade your base, discover new regions, conduct mining operations, retrieve water, generate oxygen, grow crops, fix broken parts, and learn how to survive on Mars!
Build and upgrade your base. Make sure that there is enough water, oxygen, power, and food to survive.
Build greenhouses, oxygen tanks, fuel generators, connect all the pipes and cables, and remember about proper cable management. Grow your own food.
Fix broken parts using realistic electronic components and tools. Learn the basics soldering, using hot air, electronic measurement tools, and all the details necessary to fix your equipment.
Explore different regions of Mars while searching for valuable resources, discover mining sites, and find the best place to build a city.
Remember that you need to find a relatively leveled area with good access to underground water in a place where temperatures don't drop too much during the night.
Experience an open-world sandbox game with a realistic day/night cycle and overcome real challenges that colonists face. Build solar arrays and batteries for energy storage, upgrade them, and find the optimal way to power your colony.
Upgrade your vehicles and equipment in your garage. Organize your workshop and modify your rover. Change crane hydraulics, operate the robotic arm, dig for valuable resources, build mining rigs, and more...
Occupying Mars is not always easy. Sometimes things will explode, break or not go exactly as planned. Learn to cope with "Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly.” Sometimes you have to really act quickly before you run out of air, food, or energy.

You can use the helmet repair without taking your helmet off. Just right click on it and use, any time, any place.
The Big Crusher has a built-in printer where you can print everything in game. It also give you access to building the Container for the back of your Heavy Rover which works with the welder on the Heavy Rover once you unlock it.
In addition, the Big Crusher has a crane on it which allow you to switch from the Dumper, Container which works in conjunction with the Heavy Rover welder and the 2 different tanks that were added in the latest patch.
Wondered how long it would be between getting the dirtbike and a catastrophic wreck. I wasn't disappointed.
Drae be careful around the tornado because if one starts pushing you around and you use your jet pack some very fun glitches happen it's great for exploring though LMAO
Ps I don't know whether they have patched it yet
LOL, you should try driving the ATV or the motocross bike into the bed of the truck. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Look, we know you have goldfish memory, as we all do, but you need to build those stairs on your base entrance. You said you were gonna do it.

I'm pretty sure you get a lot more out of the crusher. If you scan a rock you'll get stats like "1108 Aluminum" and "sub material 4% Silicon, sub material 18% iron" and so on. I believe you're able to put in the "worthless" chunks of rock that don't actually drop any materials for the jackhammer into a rover or truck and the grinder will extract those resources out of those rocks. If you jackhammer them then the rocks just disintegrate. If you have the crusher, you're able to get everything the scanner says is in the rock.
The Roover can use the small crusher, along with the mars trucks, but the Big Crusher comes with a 3d printer that allows you to make the bigger items from just resources skipping the first phase and storing caintainers and tippers in it. However, both the Mars Truck and the Rover can use both crushers the big one just gives you a 3d printer and container storage.
I wonder what happens if you try to use this platform to unload the rover. It definitely looks big enough to fit the rover.
it was originaly made for the rover since its been in game since start and truck just got in this update.
I remember in the demo when you jumped in the crusher for science and died. I guess they fixed that since then lol... great video as always Drae. I look forward to watching them everyday.

Itd be nice if you could find other survivors and become a light colony management thing. Send someone to mine resources and put them in storage or to plant, monitor, and harvest crops. Give them tools or vehicles to use. It seems so lonely in this game

Good morning!
Not to say you’re “playing wrong” but I think the XP got so scarce for you is because you were laser focused on hitting certain targets on the tree, instead of naturally unlocking as you build your base… you’re basically living in a shack with a Bentley… lmao You sorta had your priorities wack and I think the game was balanced for people to expand their base, work on building efficiency and optimization and you sorta did the fun way of throwing down a million solar panels, making everything at once through brute force and treating the “rewards” like vehicles as your “win state” and target, instead of just building up naturally.
It’s okay though because that jet pack and dirt bike are cool and that’s what’s important even though they both nearly killed you half a dozen times right away! Hahahaha

It’s Ben to long
This game has no real point. It makes no real sense. You have no agenda and no reason for everything you are doing. Sure you are surviving after a catastrophe but there is no goal. You arent trying to get rescued, no radios, no communications, not looking for survivors, and are generally just staying alive. The environment feels off as every outpost on the planet is in shambles and looks like they have been abandoned for decades. Even the ones 15km away from the crashed rocket where they would have been safe and secure from the explosion. Then there is the crafting and buildings. The buildings are all meant for a large population and serve no purpose to your own survival. Example, the mess hall. Why would you need to build a giant structure for which to eat in when its just you? The large bio-domes serve little purpose other than making oxygen from trees and has such a small impact on the output its not really calculated. The command structure is needed to command who? The point at which you are now, you have transport, food, water and everything you need. Why would you need a large production system like a mining rig and have enough materials to craft everything, but no reason to make anything because at this point you already have everything. I have a problem with games that have HUGE construction projects at late game stages that serve no purpose and are obvious fillers for content. The reality is this operation should work opposite. You should have to make the crusher and rig as your first things and the materials collected can THEN be used to build your base. When its at the end of the chain you have already built your base and have everything. Its literally pointless filler. I love the concept for the game, but there is alot of issues with the game that needs to be addressed that makes the game feel broken.
