    I feel so sorry for Tessa. She was a lonely and mistreated child just trying to have someone to talk to but in doing so she inadvertently caused the death of all of humanity. She saw her family and everyone she knew get killed, and since the Tessa “costume” Cyn wears appears to be from a young adult, Cyn probably held her captive for years before killing her

      She was chained up and acted like it's an everyday thing, being locked away most of the time did not help with socialising and she never really got the chance to learn what's good and bad from other people. I don't think her parents tried either, brushing her aside often and never really being interested in her.
      Understandably, we would get mad too if anyone dug up a grave and stole something from it, but in Tessa's case, no one ever taught her that.

    Biggest leap of the century award goes to… you!!!
    Top part isn’t serious, Loved the video! But just have a few counterpoints to things you said
    1. I think reducing the worker drones to toasters isn’t exactly fair to Tessa and contradicts your argument about her sitting idly by and watching them get scrapped. Drones can talk like people, walk like people and act like people and are just as intelligent, therefore Tessa coping with her isolation with them is not just reasonable but a whole moral point in her favour
    2. Her saving Cyn and keeping her around was largely due to her not seeing literally killing a drone as something moral, What a shocker, but besides that, She wouldn’t have known what Cyn was, What she was doing or anything or the sort. How would she have watched the zombie drones tape??? She is probably around 16 at most and is treated horribly by her parents. I doubt she would be granted that luxury
    3. Tessa threatened Cyn because she believed Cyn got N killed. Tessa is young and inexperienced, due to this I would favour the explanation of Tessa not wanting to kill Cyn, but just being angry at them and tossing out a mid-panic threat
    I could unpack more but it’s like 4:35AM and I am tired

    I would say victim. Her trauma and creepy hobbies nonwithstanding, I don't think we can blame her becouse:
    1. Drones restarted on their own. Cyn included. She just took them in and repaired them to the best of her abilities. People who disposed of them are to blame, and even then chance of any problematic mutaciom is so low that it's hard to tell that something like a solver would appear.
    2. She loked Cyn up becouse her mother ordered her to remove Cyn from her sight. Becouse she was creepy. Auch. Kinda reminds you of how she treats her creepy doughter. Locking up Cyn is far from the worst idea all things considered.

    • @DireDuck
      @DireDuck  4 дня назад +8

      Cyn does say "basement timeout again", implying this has happened a few times now as a punishment for an incident. If it was just her mother ordering it. I don't think there would be so many instances.

    • @crazy13alex
      @crazy13alex 4 дня назад +6

      @@DireDuckAgain, her mother straight up says, "I said this one of my sight!" And immediately told her that she was getting rid of all her drones. Then she *chains* Tessa to her room. The sheer panic Tessa displayed means "basement timeout" in this context is not Cyn's punishment. It's Tessa obeying her parents. N didn't know this when he brought her to the ballroom. Which means this couldn't have been a reoccurring incident.

    Tessa is the character that was done the most injustice in the show. She doesn't get any sort of finale for herself. And Tessa was very mistreated by her parents, chaining her up for something like a mild inconvenience to them. Her corspe desecration and grave robbing while yes bad and a crime, Tessa is clearly emotionally distant from humans, she also probably doesn't go to school due to how strict her parents are, nor does she know human norms, let alone human laws. In her mind going through human corpses and robot corpses are the same, she clearly loves drones more than humans on a deep level cause humans have just been very rude to her, but despite this Tessa upon learning that Cyn/TAS (The Absolute Solver) is gonna massacre the gala steps up and tries to stop it, despite how awful her parents were to her she still stepped in and tried to help, she probably even knew she didn't stand a chance against it. Tessa's only form of friendship has been through drones, and her only form of learning has beem through books most likely, even then it's never stated she uses the library that much nor enjoys reading. She's broken on a fundemental level, and Cynessa's design kinda supports this, Cyn's body in episode 5 was clean, fixed and not damaged at all, showing how much Tessa cared about drones in general, Tessa didn't seem to fond of Cyn but still liked her. Tessa's skin in episode 8 is broken, her bones broken and parts of her skin missing. It shows how broken Tessa is despite the good she wants to do. And how much Tessa cared for drones and how little the Absolute Solver cared for humans, even Tessa who it actually seems to like on some level. She can't even be blamed for allowing the Solver to happen in the first place, she didn't know about Cyn and Cyn's plans, and she also had no idea that yellow eyes meant bad thing, she sure wasn't getting any confirmation from her parents, and the instant she realizes what the AS is gonna do she instantly tries to stop it. Tessa deserved more and that's it.

      Cyn was already a puppet of the Solver before Tessa even found her. At that point, Tessa is locking away an eldritch entity that already intended to feed on Earth's core and everything else. Not that Tessa knew that. Still, damning for who? The child that was treated the same way all her life? With no social experience outside of her parents and the drones she takes in?
      By that point, Cyn wasn't even annoyed about it. The moment she restarted at the dump, with the Solver of the Absolute Fabric telling her to let it in, Earth was already doomed.

    I think it would be pretty cool to see you do a video on Cyn actually being a victim to the Absolute Solver just like everyone else, since the evidence IS there, it doesn't have to be long or anything like that IF YOU'RE ACTUALLY INTERESTED IN DOING IT THIS WAS MAINLY A SUGGESTION
    mainly the introduction to Episode 5, the fact that Solver Drones are still conscious when under its control (so she probably had to have witnessed some super fucked up stuff, poor girl), and the sheer difference of her emotions & mannerisms from the first half of Episode 5 compared to the second half (I'm implying that before N was locked outside, she was herself, then afterwards, the Solver took over)
    if anything I'd argue that she's the most tragic character in the whole show purely because of these, her body was used as a puppet by something she thought she could trust because it manipulated her at her lowest point when she was just looking for safety after being discarded, then had to witness it commit atrocity after atrocity in her name after she tried her best to keep it at bay

    No she is a victim.Yes with the new lore it is revealed Tessa is a bit of a strange child but her parents basically caused the events of the series to happen. Her parents controlled her life and made her live in fear while hurting her social abilities big time due to her staying in the manor for nearly her whole life. She got the drones from the dump due to it and yes she should of gotten rid of cyn sooner but honestly considering what cyn is how do you expect a young girl and asshole parents to get rid of a God like being...they wouldn't. The way she treated cyn in episode 6 before cyn's true colors are shown is because of her fear of Louisa and isn't able to think straight. Tessa was dealt a horrible hand and she didn't deserve the fate she got all of this was because of her parents. Louisa and James were ultimately the ones that doomed humanity not Tessa and even then if Tessa didn't find cyn who is to say she couldn't destroy the world still.

    Okay so I have a theory that murder drones plot could be incorrect and would not make sense. Here is a few things, the disassembly drones can't interact with light otherwise they will burn and die. But on Earth, Earth has a sun the disassembly drones should have died. But then hold on can't cyn spawn a black hole on the sun and swallow it? Well if the sun is gone so is light, and in the episode 7 earth scene, you can call me blind but I'm pretty sure I saw light.
    Also while on the subject of the Earth scene, I saw a black hole, the thing is, we can't see a black hole and boy it was visible. But this is the problem, look at the black hole it's not moving, black holes move and aren't stationary. Also the black hole is so close Earth should have gotten eat up.
    Also when we saw on the computer when Cyn Disguised as Tessa was showing N earth, there was a black hole in the middle of it with Earth in pieces but here's the thing black holes get bigger by swallowing matter and Earth is made out of matter. That means the black hole should have swallowed Earth whole and gotten bigger and swallow other planets and get bigger and bigger.
    Now if we are circling back how the disassembly drones survived on Earth with the light well one could say the black hole could have just swallowed the light but in the earth scene I saw light and that is when the earth was under attack. There was still light.
    So if you ask me this was just a Liam Vickers screw up, just like all of his biological life wiped from the planet type crap.

    Trigger warming: There's a lot of extremly unpopular/controversial opinions of my comment. Do not take a risk if you just can't handle critism towards your favorite characters like; N, Uzi Cyn etc. (especially about Uzi and N)
    Gravedigging is something horrible but compared to adult mass genociders who murder countless innocents everyday a hated, abused, neglected child (who's like 13-15) doing graverobbing and thinking her actions are nothing. I really (seriously) despise anyone who hates Tessa (especially for graverobbing and blaming her for TrYinG To KiLL ThEIr BeLOvED Uzi) and yet who gives babygirl/babyboi treatment towards literal mass genociders and call them innocents every second. (People really need to leave the poor child alone man she suffered way too much) And especially if that person a give Cyn SiLly treatment constantly and yet still blames Tessa for trying to kill Uzi when she doesn't even know who the heck Uzi is! Unpopular opinion: Tessa was far more likeable than Uzi ever was at the whole series
    Honestly N used to be my favorite character. (of course without giving him InnOCeNT GoLDeN ReTriEVeR BoI treatment every second and actually accepting he is a mass genocider who's murdered plenty of innocents.) But until the point where he just proves his whole role at the story just to be Uzi's blind lover whom just obessed with her. To the point where not caring about V being alive or not (he just entirely forget her whole existance just few seconds after seeing Uzi struggle with the Solver) or Tessa's brutal fate which her skin being ripped out and worn from Cyn. Because it so hard for him to focus existance of others when Uzi at the picture just for a second. I bet even when being booted up from the cathedral he only cared about Uzi and if everyone else dies it doesn't matter to him as far as Uzi being fine it really does not matter to him if universe blown sup. But Uzi being death does.
