    Thank you for your post. Just a week ago I experienced sudden sensorineural hearing loss in my left ear and I am now completely deaf in that ear. My right ear is functioning very well. I am considering Cochlear implant to address my left ear and based on your video and other research the sound from the implant will be quite different than my good ear.
    My main question is, when a patient is using both ears to listen, when sounds came from the implanted side, did they sound altered or did the functioning ear compensate and provide input to the brain to filter out the “robotic” sound from the implant?
