The sound of dot matrix printers are incomparable. I have a PANASONIC KX-P1150 but I could not install the setup files on my Windows 10 Laptop. Thanks for sharing. Liked & Subscribed.
lots of schools were still using these into the late 90s, some still do, but they are getting rare now. i spent a lot of time in the school's office for not paying attention in class and they had a dot matrix running pretty much all day, and that was in the mid 90s
Yeah, in NLQ (near letter quality) which almost all dot matrix printers had as a way to compete with daisy wheel printers the print head moved a lot slower, as it doubled the horizontal resolution to get a nicer looking font. But for printing drafts or anything else where quality didn't matter as much you can see the head could really fly! Some of the bigger office-grade dot matrix printers had mounting hardware in the box so you could mount it to a table or other stand. When they were printing at high speed, they could easily shake the entire printer back and forth and in some cases move it right off the edge of the table and onto the floor. Not a great result for a brand new multi-thousand dollar printer in the early 80s!
This has to be the fastest dot matrix printer i've ever seen.
Fastest

This one sounds faster.
Oki's MicroLine 320 is pretty quick, yeah.
The sound of any US Government service.
Holy smokes that was fast! Music to my ears!
That's awesome! Thank you for creating and sharing this video. I love Dot-Matrix printers.
So true.
Nothing like it.

i am sure you can write a program today that can interpit what that thing is printing by the sound it makes
God I feel old now! I remember these like it was yesterday.
Back in the old days they made things that lasted. A new ink printer today is junk IMHO.
meh they are only junk if you don't use them alot and keep them turned off for a long time
i keep my injket printer off for months and it still works perfect every time.
probably luck though
mine started leaking
Lol, buy a new dot matrix printer.
What I'm doing.
this is what my singing voice sounds like
Singing university
Dan was right. They _do_ sound like that.
BRRRRRRRRR!!
Who is this Dan
Game Grumps. Leigh Daniel "Dan" Avidan.
Look up "Game Grumps Animated Printer", it's the first video.
Ok thanks.
I have to use these sounds for a boss for a horror game some day.
Did you speed the video up or did it just change printing speed as it changed the printing quality?
+BBRCTA2K5441393 The video is as shot, no speedups. The quality mode affects the speed.
+Techtron23 i can olso see that

The store I work at still uses dot matrix receipt printers.
When you costumize your dot matrix printer by adding a turbo charger on it
