@@abinibihub in the true sense of it the word Yoruba was coined from the word yariba which was used to refer to the people from Oyo by the northerners of the kokawa kingdom as they both had much contact during the time of oranmiyan as he was the first notable figure to lead a trade expenditure to that kingdom so Yoruba is Oyo and Oyo is Yoruba..
