Stu, Cooped up campers did do a 48 hr challenge as others have said however they did it over 5 or 6 days stopping and starting the clock so yours will be a true 48hr non stop, looking forward to it ... get some some good nights sleep before it 👍
Have you thought about routing maybe a dozen 1/2 inch wide and deep U shaped grooves along the length of the underside of the solid worktops? It will take away some of the weight without impacting on the strength. It might be worth testing it on an off cut the see how much a metre long groove shaves off the weight and then multiplying it up for the whole work top to see if it is worth the effort. Every little helps as they say, especially if you are going to be close to the MLW when fully loaded.
I'm a wood flooring contractor. Been restoring wood floors for over 30 yrs. Have used Osmo a little. But found Treatex to be more durable. But much more cost effective. Dries much quicker. And use the hardener if you want a much more durable finish
Great video 👍. We are just starting on our kitchen in our conversion and there were several useful tips in it that we have taken note of. Looking forward to seeing the 48hr van build.
VANOLOGY: how goes it with the trade mark problem??? There is a camper conversion company called LUSSO ..... AND there is a bathroom designer called LUSSO. So, as I said before, there is NO conflict of interest if you do different things. Again my advice is Speak with Trade Mark Agents, they are Lawyers specializing in this field and they will put you aright on this subject (I used to work for one in central London a long time ago) ... good luck.
To the side of the shower room there is a fixed French single bed and in front of that there is a bench which will have a 150mm pull out to make that a single also 👍🏻🚐
Been watch you for a while, rolling rucks now the vanology,, am looking at getting a camper so many layouts to consider to get the right one,,swapping from a caravan, want to get further into places,, are you building the 48hr build for customer,,or doing something with it???£££
Thank you for still supporting us we appreciate it mate, we are doing this van for a customer, we can do another one in the new year of it goes well and the viewers enjoy it 👍🏻🚐
@@VanologyConversions it’s a long watch 😂. Apart from bringing in materials in anticipation of what we might need timber wise. We only knew the evening before what the plan was. We didn’t quite get there but were very close to getting it completed. The layout inside was quite complicated. Oh and it was an xlwb sprinter. Ours was live streamed which we hadn’t done before. Looking forward to see how you get on. 😊

I love a Vanology. I also love that you explain what you're doing & why.👍
Thank you very much, I try my best to explain everything for that process 👊🏻🚐
Good luck on the challenge, looking forward to watching it, may I ask what brand you use for the 440w solar panel?
Diamond pattern fabric Nice 👌 Live stream should be a laugh 😃
The fabric looks ace in the campers we’ve seen it a few times, really looking forward to the live stream 🎥🚐
In your video you mentioned a 440w solar panel, can I ask what make are you using and are you getting a good solar return from it please
Oh u-shape layout with pull out bed sounds good. Be nice to see how you do that one.
It’s built in my head I just now need to put it into practice 🤣🚐
Brilliant job as usual 👏 👍🏻 👌
Thanks mate 👍🏻🚐
48 hour challenge sounds fun
Will be different for sure 🚐🎥
Thanks for the latest blog Stu good stuff
Thank you 👍🏻🚐

It would work in certain circumstances but with oak it would weaken it too much and would end up cupping 👍🏻🚐
looking forward to the livestream .. think it'll be a lot of fun. 🚐🪛😁
We are too will be a great opportunity to showcase our work from start to finish and interact with you guys 🎥🚐
Ever thought about an edge banding setup Stu. Really durable and bit more upmarket than knock on trim 👌🏽
It’s on our list of things to invest in the near future 👍🏻🚐

Looking forward to the challenge, no pressure eh?
You mentioned weigh bridge in this episode. Where is it, in Bridgend? Need to weigh my van. Thanks
Thanks mate, we use the one at Nolan in stormy 👍🏻🚐
Hi Stu, is it 18mm light weight ply you use for the cabinet carcasses wrapped in a 13mm finish board?
We use 15mm laminated lightweight ply boards from Morland in Welshpool 👍🏻🚐
Which brand of tall fridge are you using on the sprinter conversion and where did you source it ?
We use the adventurer from Jackson’s leisure 👍🏻🚐
Great video again. Where did you get the Oak worktop from and the bowl please?
Thanks mate, we get our worktop from worktop express and the sink from many places it’s a smeg um30 👊🏻🚐
@ appreciate you getting back to me and look forward to the 48hr buildathon 👌🏼
Where is the bed in that van?
To the side of the shower room there is a fixed French single bed and in front of that there is a bench which will have a 150mm pull out to make that a single also 👍🏻🚐
What do you think off a Peugeot boxer vans?
Great work 👍
The van is a fab van for conversion, it’s their engine that is much to be desired. I personally prefer sprinter or 2.3L Ducato 👍🏻🚐

The 48 hour challenge was undertaken by ourselves at Cooped up Campers. Just two guys.
Didn’t know others had done but will be sure to go and watch it, hope you guys enjoyed it and had fun 👍🏻🚐

It has bin done before about 3 or 4 weeks ago and there was only 2 of them Cooped up Campers
Sorry about that..
Sure these guys will do it better though.
We have seen it has been done before but we are doing a much bigger build, will still be fun 🚐
👍🚐😎
