its so funny how everyone watches sieun go all batshit crazy with the other bullies and say "ohoho beomseok its over for you!!" and when it gets to the actual confrontation, theres unspoken volumes in that scene that just turns the whole mood around, and suddenly the shift in tone...its masterful!
I was crying so much on the episode, can't wait for season 2. 😭They already selected some new cast members for it. It will most likely air in 2024. For the next drama reaction, I recommend Taxi Driver season 1 and 2, Move to Heaven, Save Me, Revenge of Others, Tomorrow, Law School, or D.P. season 1 and 2. Make sure you check if they are Studio Dragon drama or have any relation to CJ ENM Entertainment, if it is make sure not to react to it. They got a lot of reaction channels in trouble. It's a shame since they have some of the best quality kdramas in my opinion.
FYI “weak hero” is based on fighting between high school gangs and this s1 was a flashback of SiEun’s story before he changed high school. S2 will be about it, his present time.

As a student myself when Park jihoon said 'what do you want' I just couldn't control my tear I cry every time when I watch this series It's my favorite top 3 of all time
i actually think its so beautiful and impactful how he "kills" basically everyone except the main perpetrator behind it all...theres layers to that. no matter what happens deep down you cant let go of the good times and the people you once cared for. sieun seems cold and calculative, but he is actually, in suho's own words, "warm hearted" and empathetic. i dont think sieun would ever have been able to get even with beomseok for what he did, moreover it was not worth the effort. and sieun was tired, so he pulled back. i think that whole scene is one of my favourites in the whole show.
throughout all of these revenge bits, i never once thought sieun was doing something extreme, i never once felt remorse, and honestly i dont rlly understand why people do. sure, the fighter guy didnt "kill" suho, but he went into the fight with the full intention to. so does that make it any better? hell, they all collectively had a hand in nearly killing a person. sieun just broke his ankles, crushed his dreams so he can never fight. and it makes sense!!! it doesnt matter if youre a bystander or an apprentice, you're just as bad as the perpetrator if you're willing to step into that kind of thing.

As a reader and huge fan of the original Weak hero webtoon, the after credit scene made me incredibly excited. A sneak peak at one of the best antagonists in any webtoon i've read right there baybeeeee. I'm SO curious to see who they'll be casting for the main characters next season and what they'll do about the pacing, since most of this first season was drama original plot points/characters. But I especially can't wait to see more of Park Jihoon and his incredible performance as Sieun. No one could've been better for this role, really!
