I totally agree with you Chigz, the extra $300 is the brand name. I've owned an Intel NUC 7i3 for close to 5 years now that is still going strong, good everyday mini pc. I did purchase the Geekom MiniIT11 but with the Core i5 chip and am very happy with it, I just hope it lasts as long as the NUC.

Looks like they were manufactured in the same factory, I would not pay $300 more just for the name brand, great review thank you 👍🏼👍🏼

I was about to say the same thing? Is this legal?

Without question, these mini pc's were made from the same factory. From its design, motherboard, the same ssd & memory, the internal structure, etc... Just about everything about it would be impossible for some 3rd party to make a direct copy without the blueprint. These are the same products, except Intel's putting them on store shelves for $800, while the owning the second company to sell for for $500, but purchased online only. This is wild 🤣

They're not the same products. The Intel NUC has Thunderbolt 3, the Geekom NUC has USB-4.
So port-wise, the Geekom NUC is inferior.
Of course Intel are no longer making NUCs themselves, and Geekom's Latest 13th-Gen NUCs are going up to an i9 CPU as of thus September.

After watching the video, I think GEEKOM mini PCs are a great choice for both remote work and home entertainment. With their impressive CPU, GPU, and memory card options, they ensure smooth performance for various tasks. Overall, I highly recommend considering GEEKOM for your computing needs!

Geekom still only use an HDMI 2.0 port in their NUCs (including their 13th-Gen soon-to-be released one), however Intel's 13th-gen NICs have HDMI 2.1. Combined with the inferiority of USB-4 compared to Thunderbolt 3, Geekom's ports are slightly less good, but that does contribute to the lower RRP.

Would it be possible to use the geekom alone or with an Xbox 1 to stream or record gaming?

geekom sell some cheaper mini pc's with obviously lesser spec. I think the it8 has an 8th gen i5, 16gb ram and 516gbssd for about £370.

Yes chigz i would agree with your choice..they appear to be twins..paying extra for a brand name is getting old in this age...would love to see how android runs on anyone of these systems....😁😁😁👍👍👍..awesome as usual...

If GEEKOM Mini IT11 offers a bare bone , then it would be much better. I do not need Windows, however I need 64Gb RAM and 2Tb storage.
