Toyota is the best. My 17 years old Toyota Sienna with 315K miles on its odometer still runs flawlessly with nothing rebuilt and just a few parts replaced like alternator, starter, water timing belt, spark plugs, drive belt, radiator, brakes, light bulbs. We’ve taken numerous cross country trips and Sienna is very good choice for the task.
Hi Jim, Congrats on the new addition to your family. Hope all is well with your child now that’s it’s 8 months later / after you uploaded the video. Question- does the driver side seat have 4-way power lumbar support? Or is it just 2-way lumbar support? Also, it looks like you live in the Las Vegas area. We are in the Boise area. How comfortable were those Softex seats this past summer? Although it’s definitely hotter in Las Vegas, we have that similar dry heat 😅 Thanks!
Hi There, sorry for the super late reply. The driver does have 4 way lumbar support. The softex seats are pretty similar to leather when it comes to heat absorption (in my experience). I've found that the best way to mitigate this is to tint your windows (be sure to adhere to state laws ;) ) and get a sun shield for your windshield. Some Siennas come equipped with remote start, and that can also help cool down the car when the AC is preset.
First congratulations on ur new baby and your new sienna we also just got the XLE model Wife and kids loved it sure we miss the DVD player we had it on our old Caravan but it’s got way more technology and best of all MPG that was our main decision factor to pull the trigger on it thank you for sharing your new toys.
Hi! Congratulations on your new car. I am interested in buying an xse but when i watch other videos, people mentioned that xse has a tighter suspension and the ride is not as comfortable as an xle. Now I am confused if i should go for xle or xse? Any advise would be helpful. Thanks.
The ride is very comfortable in my opinion. Handles great and very sedan like. Road noise is almost non existent as well. I don't think you'd go wrong with either trim.
Go toyota ..the crazyy no maintance never problems..so far I had 12 toyotas..just bought 2021 toyota hibryd highlander xle..amazing suv . Paid sticker price not bad.
Congratulations on ur child coming soon. We placed an order for the Sienna XLE same color as yours. How long did u have to wait for ur car and where did u order the floor mats and how how does it cost for the whole set.
Hello! I apologize for the delayed reply! I got very lucky and drove away with my Sienna the same day I was reserving a different trim. I opted for the XSE instead. My floormats are 3W. Available on Amazon.
Thank you for confirming my choice. I'm still looking for exactly this van with all these options. AWD because of the torque from the Hybrid electric portion of the motor will break traction in slippery roads. Toyota will not take a special order and the dealerships are trying to add a Market Adjustment. I have a 2001 Sienna XLE with 370K miles. I just changed the timing belt and Catalytic Converter so I should be good until 450K miles. I've been looking since July. I'll travel 1500 miles to get this exact van 😳
Best of luck to you on your search. I think MSRP is a win given the new car market. If this van didn't magically appear at the dealership, I probably would have been waiting for the right van as well. Thanks for your input!
That's good that hood is old fashion struts are no good..toyota makes the old fashion but is the best..no 1.3 turbo engines or other garbage..just legend 2.5 engine no turbo ..the best
Nice van! My wife and I have cross shopped this exact model with a Carnival and an Odyssey. We definitely prefer the Sienna. It really bothers me that the awd model doesnt come with the 20" wheels. Being in Canada, awd is a must but the stock 18s that come on the awd model leave a lot to be desired.
I agree with your comment on the wheels. The 18 inch wheels detract from the overall sporty aesthetic of the XSE in my opinion. However if you go on Sienna chat, there are people who have successfully fitted 20 inch wheels onto AWD models. I am doing my research to do the same.
@@jcavidz This is what I'm also most interested in also. I'm looking at LE AWD and other than the mucho improved looks, would 20" give a better ride with premium tires? Going over bumps, I don't really notice. If you're on an unpaved or gravel road, I suspect the noise could be a bit more noticeable, but in my opinion, it would be similar for any other vehicle. I haven't taken this vehicle offroad at all and I didn't purchase it for that. But in terms of bumpier surface streets here in Las Vegas, I haven't had a problem with interior rattles and noises. Thank you. I really didnt want to compromise with the XSE's styling. If I wasn't at the dealership at the right time, I would have ended up with a woodland edition though.
I actually use the 8 seat a lot so it baffles me they don't offer it in all trims at least as an option. I also think they should allow the second row seats to be removed. I also hear the van is not underpowered it just feels like it is because of how the engine is built using the eletrical motors, some people don't like that?
It is very zippy when you get on the throttle. But it being an eCVT makes for an unusual rpm noise as you don't really hear a "gear shift." I have no problems accelerating when merging into a freeway.
