Just started watching The Middle. I am hooked and can't believe I didn't watch during its original run. The character of Sue Heck is a legendary TV character!!
Me too it's so great and I'm mad I didn't watch when it was on.
"The Middle" was a brilliant show. The cast really made the show. Eden's Sue was the true standout.
I cried watching Sue's graduation episode; and then I watched Sue reading her year book and cried again.❤
She is such an energetic and charismatic personality, it's insane. Love her acting too.

Eden Sher you are a treasure & what a great all round actor you are! I just stumbled on The Middle because it is on at news time here in Australia & I wanted some entertainment rather than reality. We are lucky enough to get 3 eps per night from Sun -Fri so we’ve been able to catch up with the Hecks at light speed. What a comic gem - it’s got all the comic sub-genres rolled into one. Brilliant acting, brilliant writing, brilliant production. You don’t need an Emmy when you’re that good.
My daughter and I binge watch 4 Middle shows each night Monday thru Thursday. We just love everyone on the show. I can't believe I had not seen it till recently. Eden Sher, you are so talented! Keep up the great work.
Sue is the best thing about The Middle - and I can see why with this interview. Eden's totally entertaining with her crazy hair flipping and her over-the-top expressiveness. She's awesome!
She IS Sue, not because she played the part, but because whatever concept they had for Sue originally couldn't possibly stand up to a young woman named Eden. The casting for the show was brilliant overall, but Sue was the heart and soul of it.

She underestimates herself. SHE is The Middle. The middle would not be the same without Eden.. THAT's why they took so long to pick the right person, her part is crucial. Although the entire cast is brilliant, Eden is truly the nucleus of the cast and without her the show would be boring. Love Eden, you should have your shelves lined with awards. Brilliant actress.
They should have done the spin off of Sue. That was a bad call not doing it.

Aside from her role as Sue Heck from the Middle. To every fan of Star VS the Forces of Evil, she voices our Disney Princess from another dimension who's cute, awkward and kickass. The show wouldn't be so exciting without Eden Sher voicing Star Butterfly and Adam McArthur voicing Marco Diaz. Of course, lets not forget Daron Nefcy who created the show from start to finish and creating a wonderful story. The show could've had a better ending and had a longer run if it wasn't for Disney being a dick for limiting animated show series to just 4 Seasons.
No, Sue is a terrible and annoying character
Sue the character is some of the best acting i ever seen in sitcoms, she is just a bundle of everything and always with such a laugh and lifeenergy, she is my fav char in "The MIddle".

What a great interview! Boy, Eden Sher is such a sweet young lady! I love this interview that shows her great personality. Didn't know she had a book. Just went on Amazon and bought it for my daughter that reminds me of "Sue Heck". I loved the Middle! Just watched the final episode last night and decided to search out interviews by this amazing cast. I cried through the entire final episode, but I understand that everything good can't last forever. May God bless each of the cast members as they venture into new paths.
She was such a lovable character; so sweet and gullible. I loved her!

I love the episode where Sue is singing the lu lu lu Christmas song when she and Axl are guarding Brick's igloo and she gets whacked in the face with a snowball twice. Cracks me up every time I watch it. 😂

Maddy, you don't know the meaning of the word "misogyny". Neither comment displays dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against Eden. They describe similarities between female actors. 'Make-up" is in the context of film or TV, where they would try to make the actors similar. If you saw a side-by-side of Eden and Mayim, you'd see a LOT of similarities.
I guess you have nothing else to make fun of that's worth anything, so the best you can do is pick on someone's name. Whatever.
Well, beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder. I think that she is very pretty and that genuine part of her does make her even more appealing.
In a media culture of Barbie-like Stepford wives and individuals who sell their bodies for fame and fortune, it is far more appealing to see individuality, intelligence and something more genuine and life-like.
Personality-wise, Eden Sher almost has an "Anne of Green Gables" vibe going -- in which a headstrong, intelligent and ever-so-quirky mind was more appealing to Gilbert Blythe than the blond locks and "stuck up" disposition of Josie Pye.
Hopefully she'll Branch out and do other projects very talented young lady.

I started getting fixated with her twirling her hair, because it was so funny.I know I will miss The Middle once it ends. If they get to Season 10, Sue will graduate college. How will they keep going after that? It would be awesome if they could though.
In season 11, brick will graduate high school, so he graduates college in Season 15, so they'd be able to keep the show going for a good 5 seasons after season 10
+fred cowell That could work. Wonder if they'll wrap it up with a "several years later" ending. I vote for the final scene being Sue's wedding day. Brick would be CEO of a startup, like Fonts-R-Us. Axl ends up working for Brick, because he needs a job as he's married and a baby on the way.
I think it could go on. We could see their lives as adults and the parents as empty nesters and grandparents :) If a show is doing good, I don't like when it ends :/

They should have done the Sue spinoff that was a possibility but they decided against it. They messed up. Hopefully she will be truly recognized for her talent.
