I love the Idea that Harris is fostering, it appears to be forgive and forget. However there is one thing I would puplically like to state here that perhaps American's have no idea about. It is this ugly "Reparations for Slavery." Who for example is going to pay the UK for the centuries of slave raids from Africa? Yes Africa!! The last of these was near Plymouth in 1625. Mounts Bay in Cornwall was raided by slavers from North Africa. When Black people ask for repaprations they forget that Briish People were slaves in Africa, and had been for centuries. Which countries does the UK ask to pay repaprations for those slaves, and the goods that were destroyed/captured in those raids?
I love this generation of young people standing up and taking our democracy seriously. When we fight we win!

Usually it’s when we don’t understand, or fear something, that we can tend to judge more easily.
If you ever watch interviews with her and her brother, their creative process, their parents…it’s quite interesting.

She’s her own unique soul and as a 50 year old she speaks to me, and much older…there are those in their 70 + who adore her :)

She has a wise head, and is comfortable in her skin, and she has admirable support for worthy causes (which I imagine infuriates the small-minded. I dread to think of the abuse that she gets from Keyboard Warriors).
I don't judge easily, but I am not a Billie fanboy. That's all. I think that her success is richly deserved, but because of personal taste, she is outside my sphere of enjoyment.

As a concerned citizen of Canada, I am so grateful to these young cultural icons for showing such leadership. If they can mobilize even a third of the Gen Z eligible voters, they can change/save the world.
