Randy is the one of the few front men of a metal band that 100% doesn't look or act like he is until he's on stage lol
Um, act maybe but look? He for sure does look like it.
@@mutatednut lol
Back in the day tho… different story lmao
He used to but he grew up a bit. We all have to at some point
I dunno man most metal frontmen seem to be pretty friendly chill guys.
Lord have mercy. I was never a metal fan until one night in 2008 when i dropped a powerful tab of acid at a friend's party and someone threw on a 'Lamb Of God' album.
I curled up on a couch in awe and was totally paralysed by their music.
It had an incredible impact on my Psyche.
I bet that was insane
@@oilusboyne It was like listening to a new form of music produced by aliens from another planet. I was utterly transfixed by it.
Had to hide underneath a blanket which in my mind was the inside of a spaceship, until the album finally ended. The entire experience will be forever burnt into my mind.
@@jamesphlames7498which album was it??
I've been there before....Ashes of the wake,
2 hits of Alistair Crowley. 🤯🤯🤯
What album?!
Thank you for caring for your voice.
Fuckin iconic.
Most singers in every genre do this This is their profession and how they make money They take care of their voice From Ozzy to Dave mustaine to Alicia Keyes they all do this Nothing iconic about it
@@DannyRedCheeksright?
@@DannyRedCheeksnah most metal vocalists abuse their vocal cords and blow them out.
This is how a professional does it
@@aliasfakename2267 most? If that's true then wouldn't most metal bands be doing only cleans or not playing at all by your logic?
This dude is such a stud. His cameos are only 80 bucks and he spends 5 minutes talking to your loved one
How can I get that?
@@kurtemus bro thats fn awesome
@@trin9264 getting a life would be a lot better.
@@phantomshtter thank for the advice I guess lol
Uh....what?
That is a legitimate professional at his craft. All the time taken for preparation to give the fans the best experience possible.
It's to extend his career too. Some singers screaming destroys them, like the singer from AFI. I know it's a completely different genre but the singer doesn't even sound like the same person on their early albums and the singer can't physically sing those songs anymore.
Yup 🤘 he’s taking care of his voice and preparing to give the fans the best of himself. That’s awesome. I’m not even a big fan either but that’s cool af
Randy is truly a rare breed.
Thank you Mr. Blythe
This guy is my hero. 13 years sober. I'm only coming up on my first in 2 more days. He embodies experience, strength, and hope. It's absolutely incredible how many of LoG's are about addiction. Respect is earned by wisdom paid in blood.
I've loved this guy since I was a teen... I'm 32 now.
Ditto
Exactly the same for me
38 and remember them touring with Gwar when Dave was still at the helm.
Saw them with gwar at sounds of the underground in Seattle! And with slipknot... And as headliners... They kill it every time!
I first got into them when I went to a friend to a slipknot concert they opened, then shadowsfall was next and slipknot ended it, and I swear they were the heaviest of all, I bought there cd right after there set
One of the best metal vocalists of all time 🙌🏻
This is so wholesome. The calm before the wonderful chaos. Who knew he was a hippie at heart?!❤
I'm primarily a Rap fan but my friends had an extra ticket to see Lamb of God, Killswitch and Animals as Leaders and it was an awesome experience. We had wristbands for the pit and when Lamb of God went on the place was insane. Loved the show
Awesome
Welcome to the club!!
They took you to a quality show. Great friends, great music, lots of love brother.
I'm Gonna see them in Nashville with Pantera on Feb 9. Last time I saw LOG was on Ozzfest 04
@@wsean0347they are great saw em in august with pantera
Randy is a true vocalist that actually knows and takes pride in the impact of his voice
Randy has always been one of my favorite frontman’s, his high screams are piercing
I really like his unique style, that pronounciation
@@Everythingwentblack69 hell ya, he's so amazing. That's why I like the song terminally unique so much, im addicted to his highs in that on top of it just being a great song
One of the best bands I’ve seen. I’ve been going to rock concerts since I was 12. I’m now 56. Tandy’s one of the best out there
Such a legend. Powerful voice.
Randy you lot are the bomb! You sound better every time I hear you live.
He sounds incredible these days. Randy is in his beastmode.
Best live band I ever ever seen in my life!
I tour as a sound engineer and these bands work their asses off to bring you 100% of themselves. That’s why you see us crew guys working hard to keep up with them.
It helps in some cases for all difrent people I bet that's wonder herbs but if it does the job rocking and rolling ready to get this show on the road yeah rock and roll
One of the few rock stars that got his life back on track and has been absolutely killer if not better than his old self. Just saw them Oct 13 in LA god dayum!!!!! Everyone was on point his voice absolutely destroyed
Omg YES ! We saw them on Sept 10th and it was amazing as always. Idk HOW Randy does it. My son & I lost our voices for like a week after the show from singing/screaming like fools as loud as we could and having an epic great time 😂😂 Randy does it every night, no worries. Haha
@@metalmamasue3680 hahahaha same here my knees were almost gone after jumping up and down and my voice a little harsh after singing to every song 😂
@Poopsters Bringus I gotta check them out
Yep just had to do prison time in another country for manslaughter and he became a totally different dude, at least in my opinion. That was such a terrible situation
Yeah man he's gotta chill with that jumping
This man is a fucking treasure, hell the whole fucking band is!❤
I love how wholesome metal musicians are. Some of the nicest folks around
I've meant some metal bands and they are truly the coolest people you will ever talk to. I meant FFDP, in this moment, pod, Sid from Slipknot they will talk and laugh with you
Just discovered you guys 2023 at 57 love it forever 🇺🇸🤟🏽
It's a hard knock life bro, it doesn't go unappreciated. Strength beyond strength.
Im an old man now, I had never heard of LOG then a few years back I went to a slayer tour and these guys just gave me the show of my life!! The interaction with the crowd, the energy, the everything, they god my old bag of bones in the pit!! Amazing night thank you🤘🤘🤘
I know thats you Kevmo! "Just get in there and enjoy tour, what a treat."
I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought this. The video's a treat.
@@user-cp9yo4jk9b I mean obviously I know it's randy, but after seeing 200 kevmo shorts I had to make that comparison! Lol
😂🤣🤣🤣 I understood that reference
Wow what a treat! 😂😂😂
Hahha!! I love that dude
Randy is a sitcom dad with the coolest job on earth.
This is beautiful. I've watched this for 3 hours now
Randy has been my favorite metal singer for many years. Now he’s my son’s favorite as well. See you at the show in Tampa 2024.
For everyone thats asking, the song is “Omens” at the minute 2:52
love u
Thanks mate 🙃
Omg thank you!!!
its crazy how calm, stoic, and poetic randy is being in that type of band! 🤘🏻
Randy is the best!
So happy to see Randy doing good and taking care of himself!
Whatever he does it definitely works absolutely has one of the most iconic voices in metal history!
Its amazing his voice still sounds as epic as ever. Its hard to sing/scream like that for so many years.
Thanks for looking after your vocal chords so us fans can experience your voice for longer 🤙
Apart from the one he killed
@@RUTGERMORTENSENit was a horrible accident he shoved him off the stage he didnt intend to hurt the guy
Randy blythe has had some of the best vocals for YEARS.
His English accent is spot on!
Its not
@@dannyflint5746 it is 😏
@@williamschrader9717 maybe to your untrained ear it does.. if he spoke like that in the UK he would get laughed at
@@dannyflint5746Dude the English accent is why we realize the US perfected the language. Chune and fursday aren’t words 😂
@@マシュードーランyou do realise the language is the same it’s the accents that make the difference or are you terminally stupid?
Been listening to this band since 2001. Love them and need to see them live soon again!
For a guy that has stated that he doesn't like metal, he really is committed to always performing with excellence. I respect that.
You don't need to have your musical taste to take pride in your work. I dont understand your thought process here, plenty of pros have musical preferences outside of their groups genre
Randy is awesome. Saw Lamb of God a couple of years ago and they were awesome. Randy is all over the stage.
Definitely remember the old days when I saw them live in Bicestor Village England.. Randy was young and at the time only needed cigarettes to perform. We all get old though lol. Rock on
I love him! Such an amazing man, so respectful!!
I feel like I can scream at the top of my lungs now with no repercussions.
People who do scream vocals have stronger, higher capacity lungs.
Its not like that
I will forever love a good live lamb of god show! The energy and fans are the best!
Lamb of god is the only band that I've heard able to scream very understandably it makes it so much more enjoyable reminds me of the sort of skill level mitch from suicide silence had dude could scream so clearly
You havent heard many bands im assuming then
RIP Mitch.
Saw SS play Mayhemfest once. What an incredible time to be drinking free energy drinks and hearing their music live.
I read an article where someone described Randy's voice sounding like he gargles with glass. Perfectly stated. F'n powerful and gritty - brilliant.
That Bauhaus hoodie is sooooooo sick 😭😭😭 I bet he got it from the recent tour 😭😭
I knew it was Bauhaus... I was like that Logo is familiar! Bela Lugosi's Dead
Vocal warm-ups are ESSENTIAL!
Nice Bauhaus hoodie!
The whole band are super professionals and really talented. I appreciate how good they sound live.
God, he must have a great vocal coach to be able to do that all night long, so often, and for such a long time. I wonder how much it hurts/bothers him, and if he needs a rest period between performances.
He was coached by Melissa Cross for a while, I actually had her DVD when I was like 15 and he was on it. He used to tear his throat up before then.
been doing scream vocals myself for years. never hurt myself once. it's about technique. if it hurts. you are doing it wrong. the screams aren't your actual vocal chords. it's false chords and air from the diaphragm, not your throat.
@@wakenow7612 False cord vocals wear out even with good technique. The distortion is caused by interference with your true cords, so you're effectively damaging yourself even when you do it correctly, but you can manage it. Uvular trill is pretty safe, but it makes your throat swell. Glottal and epiglottal fry you can do all day, but you can't project without a mic. You can always use a mix.
@@DragonTigerBoss maybe I'm just lucky that I haven't destroyed my voice from 15+ years of essentially scaring the crap out of everyone around me lol. Do you Know where I can get a copy of the Melissa cross tutorial?
Some people just have it, some don't. The one's who have done as long as him, have it. Coaching, technique and taking care of themselves prolongs it
Greatest of all time! Period
One of the best bands on the planet
I’ll never forget the feeling of that curtain dropping and Randy exploding out onto the stage. Truly masters of their art and probably the best crowd worker I’ve ever seen.
You guys were awesome in Birmingham, Uk last year! I was never really a fan but took my cousin to his first gig to see you guys because he loves you so much! I was fking impressed man, and now im loving your music! 😊
I will forever love randy and he’ll always be a huge inspiration for me vocally 🙌🏻
I've seen them live twice and it just amazes me how much different he is from on stage to offstage. How much his voice changes and his overall demeanor.
Randy is a great vocalist. It’s nice to see anyone take pride in their job.
My friend Jeff Elwell of Cottage Grove, Minnesota loved Lamb Of God. You guys are a Good and Great group. I'll be listening later tonight.
E, my friend passed away at 18 from leukemia around the year of 2004.
Proper dude. One of the sickest voices in metal. Saw them live at sounds of underground at some point in the 2000s. He was walking around with the fans signing stuff and seemed like he had a calm demeanor. The whole band was cool AF.
Watching him live was one of the best musical experiences of my life
best true metal band right now! listen to LOG everyday
I saw them live on Wednesday. They sounded great and fucking slayed.
One of the most unique metal voices. Never mistaken him for anyone else.
I see Lamb of God everytime they come around. Always amazing, love them sooo much❤🤘
Been listening forever and hope yall never stop
LOG was the support for a tour I was LD on in the early 2000’s. I got to see them every night for six weeks I and got to know them well. They killed it every night! I regret not staying in touch with them over the years. I still go to see them every chance get.
From smoking on stage and singing that god tier vocals on killedelphia dvd to this!!! We have come a long way . Fucking cool .
I am amazed at how well-mannered and decent a person he is.
Seen these guys in the house of blues they wore great..been a big fan since my early teens now I'm 37 and still head banging 🤘🤘
LoG is literally the best live band. Dudes sound amazing every single time
Saw Lamb of God live in Daytona a few years ago, it was my first time seeing them live and man they absolutely killed it. Randy sounds great live.
He's just the chillest, most human dude ever.
Randy has been one of my favorite people in music for years! He's a treasure. Definitely come a long way since the old days of LoG, when he was drinking a lot. The two things I feel made Randy grow as a person, were the video of him getting into a fight with Mark Morton, and the accidental death in Prague.
I love you Randy! You are an inspiration bro!!!
That's why he's the best vocal performer ever
I f___'n love Randy...He's down to earth ....Lamb of God is my number #1
I have seen you guys play a dozen times never gets old. I got to hang out with you Randy at the sounds of the underground tour with James homez
Lamb of god is amazing, I’ve listened since my brother showed me them in like ‘06. That show looks like so much fun
I was at the old headbangers ball tour at the electric factory. He comes riding out in the crowd on a bmx bike drinking a beer. They killed it! All the bands killed it that night.
Lamb of God is always amazing and live even more! ❤🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻❤️❤️❤️
Just saw them a couple days ago along with Mastodon, Kerry King and Malevolent. All the bands did great, but LoG was a whole other level. They played Ashes of the Wake in it’s entirety, amazing show I can’t say enough. Probably the best concert I’ve ever been to tbh
Your show was the best metal concert I’ve been to. 🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽
Honey and throat coat tea is the jam! warms my heart knowing randy makes the same drink before shows haha
I'm not even a huge fan of LoG... but I have a big respect for the band, and Randy in particular. I'm sure I'll be won over soon.
Wow his routine has changed dramatically from the days I was listening to them heavily. He was a wild man back in the day
He's the absolute GREATEST.
So much calmer then they were when they first came out lol, glad to see them still going after all these years
One of the best live bands
I don't listen to LOG quite like I used to, but of the 5 or 6 times I've seen them, they ALWAYS slay! Never disappointed
Love your craft Randy🤘😎🤘SiC!!!
Best live metal band ever.
glad to hear randy taking care of his vocal chords !
Dude will forever remain a vocal monster
Insane how this guys performs for his age. Dude is dedicated and takes care of himself.
This guys is still going strong what a legend. LOG hall of fame
This must be how Randy is still one of the best male metal vocalists. Badass
The most realist artist, right here.
