    Thank you so much, Erin.
    Your videos are really helpful.
    I have been a VA for 3 years plus with a long-term client. Recently I have been getting new clients and had issues with their low pricing because of my location, Nigeria. Watching this video helps but still trying to see how to get out of being priced low.

      I just realized that I used the wrong link today - no one saw me live! Did a totally separate group of pre-registered guests get a random recording of me on YT and wonder what the heck was happening? Yes, yes they did 🤦‍♀

    How to reach our client😢

    I hear so much about people getting clients through work connections and their personal circle, however I have been unable to get any bites from this. The thought of cold emailing and messaging makes me feel desperate and creepy and I can't spend hours replying to posts in the hope someone will enquire about I'm my services? Do you have any advice as I feel like giving up at this point 😕

      That's tough, so sorry to hear that you're hitting a wall. What exactly have you said to friends and family, and how long ago did you tell them about your business? Have you done the same kind of outreach to past colleagues or bosses from previous jobs that you may be in contact with? I hate to say this but sometimes, client acquisition does indeed mean spending a lot of time cold pitching. Another thing to consider: when done right, the "cold" connections you make with other VAs and potential clients eventually become "warm," when you are able to genuinely build a rapport. Last thing I'll mention is that you can also look for Client Matching Agencies like Time ETC or Belay and apply to be an assistant through their services. The pro is that they give you clients. The con is that you're paid 50% of what you earn and you still have to apply like regular jobs.

    Do u have to actually have money to even start up?

    • @ErinBooth
      @ErinBooth  3 месяца назад +1

      Great Q! You do not really need any $ to start as a VA, especially if you already have a working laptop. I still try to keep my costs as LOW as possible and only pay for apps or tools that I use every day.

    What advice will you give someone that is scared to start?

    • @ErinBooth
      @ErinBooth  3 месяца назад +2

      Acknowledge the fear, but don't let it stop you. Or as my favorite saying goes, "be afraid, and do it anyway."
      The only thing scarier than facing your fear is living with the regret of never trying. Here's how embracing "be afraid and do it anyway" can fuel your VA success:
      1. Channel your nervousness into action: Research, learn, and plan. Knowledge is power, and fear can be a motivator to get you prepared.
      2. Hiccups are inevitable, so don't let them derail you. See them as learning opportunities and adapt your approach.
      3. Surround yourself with supportive VAs who understand your struggles and celebrate your victories. This network can be your lifeline when facing challenges.
      4. Never stop growing. The VA landscape is constantly evolving. Always be learning new skills and staying ahead of the curve.
      Take a deep breath, embrace the "be afraid" part of building your business, and do it anyway. You've got this!
