Ooh, that's such a neat bag! I've got several in a similar size, but I've never seen one that opens up like that zipper compartment/travel wallet type section. I'll definitely have to keep an eye out for something like that, it looks very convenient.
Good for you for putting together an art go bag! It's wonderful to see how you work with the primary colors only to make such beautiful mixes. Really enjoy the genius of your wallet bag for art supplies!
Thank you! After 4 evacuations (2 mandatory) due to fires I needed to know I would have some colors and supplies to do some self soothing if I ever lost everything… now that I am safer I just take it with me to play when I travel or go places I may want to make art.
I live in bushfire country as well and I have emergency bags with documents and treasures ready to go. Of course I have art supplies as well. I found that kippling make a huge art bag that is very light weight and can fit all the good art supplies I want to save. I was amazed how much I can stuff in there so I recommend them they a very strong and easy to carry full.
Yes - it has simplified my life! Then having some Neocolor 2 pastels in different colors helps too… they turn into paint! Going for minimalism in the rest of my studio hasn’t been as easy;)
@@jennifermazzucco33 Hahaha! I hear you on the studio. In the past, I've really liked the creaminess of Lyra watercolour crayons, but I think Neocolor II are probably way better for true colors and a pared-down palette. And I can relate to your little bag of smushed crayons. I have one Lyra sap green watercolour crayon that has devolved into something that's part goo and part pigment, with paper trying to hold it together - and that's in the tin! 😂 Thanks again for your fab and inspiring ideas for a pared-down kit!
The timing of my watching your video was perfect for me. I live in Florida and will be going through my hurricane supplies in the next few weeks. My supplies also include stuff to take to shelters. Need to put an art bag together for that. I hope you haven't had to evacuate again.
Wow - I was just in Florida! I took a different bag with other supplies though… I have many iterations of travel supplies depending on what I’m working on at the moment. I ended up selling my house so I don’t have to evacuate again (hopefully! The east bay is full of earthquakes;) thanks for the comment. Wow - to stay in a shelter during an emergency or for the people at the shelter? Either way… it’s awesome.
It’s taken years to figure it out - I may renew or change every once in a while too… have fun with culling! It’s my favorite thing to do with all my “stuff” to lighten the load;)
Interesting art gi to bag ,my church often has done prayers for the western states due to the increase of wildfires happening i often think what would i grab in my art supplies if i ever needed to leave fast so i started to see how hard it must be for artists to chose certain supplys that are their favorites, to lose so of ones art supplies and other valuable items like homes cars and such has to tug at ones soul much during a wildfire escape ....stay safe and peace and art blessings to you and your loved ones during this climate change hopefully we can grabble with our needs and wants to become better for our earth...
Thank you! And thank your church… I moved somewhere a bit safer so now I just use my to go bag for travel and play… I also have lessened my attachment to things in general… but still given the chance to take something in a fire or earthquake I would definitely grab my art supplies! Art is medicine to me.
I appreciate the content, but the video auto adjusting the brightness even on the lowest quality is painful. My light setting is on the lowest possible and everything is still visible in daylight. Not sure how's you uploaded this to tell the mobile app to override blue light filters and light settings but is extremely distracting and frankly painful. 🙈

Such an awesome find in the REI sale/used section!

You're one of the few YT'ers that seems to actually use the kit you put together. Also, your art is really lovely. I love it!
Awww, thank you! I have gotten A LOT of use out of that bag for sure… gotta walk the talk or it’s just fluff! ❤️
Love this. I overpack my art supplies, but the idea of just using cyan, magenta yellow supplies is a great idea.

Thanks for sharing. Very cool.
Most welcome - thanks for watching!
You are so resilient. In a crazy world, just make some art. I call it my color cure.
That’s a good name for it!!! Thank you… it has saved my life many a time.

I think that is a pretty perfect size and assortment. I always try to cram too much in my travel art set. I’ll definitely have to cull a bit.

Thank you! REI…. On sale;) also have a fishing tackle box for bigger outings!

Sorry about that… not sure I can do anything about it now. Just using a simple iPhone. Will take that into consideration next time I upload! 💗
