Why I always keep an ultralight rod in the car?

From June 22, 2024: My wife and I drove over to Salisbury, MD to visit my sister and her husband. We were about an hour early so I took advantage of having an ultralight rod in the car and fished the creek coming out of Leonard's Mill Pond just north of town. Man. am I glad I did! Check it out!

reminds me of a place, deep in a ravine. I was about 30 and there were native brook or brook trout not big fish but they were there, I thought I was seeing things. The water was cold and clear. The one thing that I remembered, it was in the high 80s when I started my hike and it was, i guessing about 67 in that bottom . I went back a couple of times, seems that ravine got deeper each time. Just thinking it was close to a perfect place.
