- Welcome to Ian Mac Woodturning! In this weeks turning video I used a Lump of Leylandii and did something a little different.. There's not a huge amount of turning in the video but I think it still came out pretty nice.

That's amazing.
This is a prime example of when not to turn away some perfectly good wood grain! I was a bit taken aback at that lathe that started doing the work for you when you were coring it. You wouldn't want the coring tool to go through the expanding chuck mount, so you'd have to be careful and keep an eye on it.😁👍👍

This piece has been fully opened up, to display all of the possible grains in this section of tree. Amazing work of art ! Thank you for sharing the process from log to artistic display of nature.
