Another great video. It is much easier to learn knots once there is a foundation, like learning the marlin spike hitch/slipknot/noose.
    ***Start pedantic comment***
A slipknot is tied when you fold the loop over the working end. When you fold the loop over the standing end, it is a noose.
    Slipknot: trucker's hitch, stopper knot
Noose: marlin spike hitch, bowline, sheet bend, Ashley stopper
    ***End pedantic comment***
The video would be a bit more complicated if you had to describe the differences though, so good job on keeping it simple and interesting.

Thanks, much appreciated! True, I did dodge the whole "noose vs. slip knot" discussion. As you alluded to, it probably just adds more confusion than it contributes understanding, but thanks for making mention of it so it's at least documented in the comments!

I've started using the directional inline figure 8 for the trucker's hitch instead of the mentioned knot, cuz it seems to be easier to untie after huge tension.

At the beginning of the video you say the bight should be made from the side that is the start of the direction of pull (you make it on the right - so the direction of pull should be from the right towards the left).. but then when you 'test' the knot on a tent peg you take the bight from the right and you pull towards the right (the opposite direction from what you just told us!)... ?

You could have knit a scarf at the end there and I may not have noticed.
