Hi, it’s a beautiful building and deserves grade 2 listed status. Those stairs are amazing! Admittedly it would be one heck of a restoration job but the building is worth saving. It’s like a little treasure trove in there. Fingers crossed they save it and thank you for sharing 👍
Wow ty just seen this video ( you popped up randomly) I live near here and drive past it most days. It was a beautiful building when I was younger and went in after school so many plans for it including moving it brick by brick and moving it near the flats no plans have been carried out … ty for posting Barry ❤
Fascinating. Why councils and government allows such beautiful buildings to deteriorate as such as this is beyond me. That in itself could be turned into something for some people such as the homeless to live in. We seem to be allowing our history to erode away without a thought. Such a shameif I won the lottery, I’d buy something like that and do it up to save it. Thank you for sharing.
I didnt think this place would be in such a bad state of repair. The main problem with this building is its location on the crossroads of four sets of traffic lights. There is zero parking, or any possibility of making any which rules out pretty much most options for usage. I know the area well I have just sold my property in Windhill and now live in the states.
Its really quite dangerous and it wont be long before its gone. the location is terrible for any uses id say. And your plan to say you are now in America isn't making anyone jealous!! lol
It is surprising what people let go in terms of historical buildings. Thank you for the video.
Yea it’s sad about this one. And you’re welcome.

how sad this will be, its in such a state the only thing left to do it pull it down, i fear for peoples safety near it.
That's all very interesting thank you so much for filling is in with all the information
Glad you enjoyed it

Glad you enjoyed it. This building is worth saving but its getting close to beyond it it, which think is what the owners want.
Very informative. Thank you
Thanks, and glad you liked it. I just hope this get saved!
@@newmotorcycleguy I wanted to film this too , but you have done a good job of documenting it.
@@BradfordThroughTheLensthanks. I do enjoy your videos also. If you know of anywhere that’s decaying and accessible let me know. Nmcgpost@gmail.com

I agree its a disgrace! and glad you found it interesting.
What a terrible shame. The thing is, someone actually owns it and has allowed it to decay. 😢
Yea. And it’s really unsafe. Just what the owners want. They can pull it down and put an awful new building there!

I totally agree!
That looks like 1980s wallpaper. I recognise it
Haha. Yea. It does look familiar!
They did weddings I think and dancing. Those that had the Lakeans. Who remembers their names?
I've heard it was a wedding venue;
@@newmotorcycleguy It was, I got married there June 7th 1980 🙂
If I remember rightly the counter was on of lively dark wood and the stairs the same. Borrow the books have your ticket stamped.
It was lovely inside.
haha , take nothing but picture, leave nothing but foot prints.
I think it would all be sold be building and conversion.
What a very sorry state!
Yep. I imagine this will get knocked down.
