I've always been a big cow landmark enjoyer. The other landmark just feels too all-innish and dependent on sustainable gold income
DivineDFP's base building is the best I've seen since the legendary Talisman2208 - the Walter Burley Griffin of AoE4 (a little Canberra reference for Drongo).

So devs told us the "incredible" Janisary was supposed to "protect" the "amazing" Great Bombard (which gets instantly demolished by Springald, not by cavalry). Let me see, a useless joke unit "protects" another useless joke unit... Sounds so honest yea, devs! Thanks for ruining the game

I am surprised how Divine ignored saving his villagers. About 60 villager kills vs 0. Sure he got the awesome base build. But what's the point of such a compact build if you still lose so many
every raid? It aches to see him never getting the villager lead despite having 1 more tc right from the 10th minute.
For almost 2 years, I've been saying this. Devs made both Janissary and Great Bombard (the civ personality units) an absolute meme on purpose, so much so, that Ottomans are simply unplayable in Imperial against English, HRE, Chinese. Devs' are destroying our AoE4... numbers show this! I said this years ago

Divine just let the raids happen too often while not countering at all. If they raid you once or twice it’s ok but they kept on coming without countermeasures.
Thinking the same. Just put a couple of spearmen by the treeline with the vils.
Very small investment while you build up your army. And it isn't like the english build is going to do a run by anytime soon as you want to do a slow push with your big slow army.
Are Sheeps effected by the food upgrade like berries and fields or the hunted meat upgrade like deer?
By the berry one. The other one is only for hunted meat eg deer or boar

Divines flaw was no horseman or knights. 8-12 of either, raid the north wall and kill those cows.
He would then need to send villagers to farm those dead cows, thus less on other resources, and yes no friggin walls at the start.

the real problem for divine was not popping up archers by the second he aged up, 2 TC are good but 3 TC is not optimal, even more against malians, where you should always have a bigger number, and to be honest, he doesnt even need to have more man at arms or whatever, just go age II Longbow baby.

i donlt think the malians can even handle an english all in.. longbows are crazy strong against malian units

But I believe it is a disservice to the AOE4 community if they do not see these 3 games in particular.
For context, the games do not include beasty. He's just spectating and commenting on the games. These player as unknown gold, plat, and diamond players. Well most are unknown.

the game was lost when dfp went for the maa xbow comp vs knight(sofa) archer. Cav archer has the edge on that fight and it snowballed from there.

I was under the impression that a javelin is more just a horsemen variation in that it kills ranged but loses to everything else. Pretty sure javelin get stormed by spears easy enough. I could be wrong though. Malians are weird.
Javelines need so much micro than other units to be effective. Their attack speed is too low and overkilled enemies single unit.
@@hatgiongecoseed6285 I'm gonna be honest besides countering an early harass from enemy ranged units or doing an early harass in feudal I don't see how javs can be used beyond that since not only do they get cleaned up easily but they also lose to archers for some civs in castle (eg longbow with network of citadels, zhu gu nu, composite bow abbassid archers and delhi TOW archers) the las two prob resource per resource but still. Maybe they need to be made faster than regular infantry not slower to make them viable. Like make them palace guard fast lol
@@MrAtaguas in castle age mass Warrior scouts is better than javelines (if you want counter archers) alot, they super cheap, fast producing, fast movement, also multi perporse with better vision,...

They don't. Mansa Quarry does. It's the feudal landmark producing 75 stone or gold/minute

Malians are currently the most fun civilization to play... it is not overpowered and it is certainly far from the S tier. But it is S tier in playability point of view. They lack heavy units in late game but they can overcome this problem with the best late game economy. It is balanced in a way. I hope devs don't listen to those people who are saying that Malians are over powered. They are nerfed enough.

The Malians probably have the most passive resource generation in the game. Pit mines, mansa quarry, and the big cow landmark.
