It's going to be a busy winter with lots of new videos from a wide range of venues covering loads of different methods so thank you all once again for following this channel! 😍
Thanks Neil and yes that's very true these days isn't it! The rod I was using was the 11ft version of this one mate www.fishmatrix.co.uk/home/product/horizon-pro-11ft-12ft-waggler?c=rods-horizon
Hi Jamie Excellent video on winter options, I think if you can get the roach feeding, the f1's won't be to far behind, one will encourage the other to feed, it the balance of feed to fish ratio that has to be right, or you loose them Take care, stay safe regards to your Dad and T, keep it lit 👍 my friend
Hey Jamie, I here that you started half depth, would you always do this on the waggler and when would you pin it to the deck. Many thanks keep up the great videos 👍
Great short little video, Jamie. I love waggler fishing. What hooklength do you find best for waggler? I’ve used Maxima for decades but want to try something more modern in a lower diameter. Tried Preston Reflo and it pig tails like hell with double and single maggot. Any recommendations for a good waggler hooklength?
Bye gum, I love waggler fishing as you can feel every tug and when the line tightens it lifts your spirits no end! A question if I may Jamie. Do you feel hook lengths make a difference to your catch rate on the waggler. I normally fish a 12" hook length all through the year with a hard 4mm pellet for F1's .20 in summer down to .16 when colder. In summer I'm sure you could get away with 6". I'm experimenting with 24" hook lengths in .16 at the moment but I've seen no great change in catch rate. Could I ask your thoughts on the subject, thanks Malc
Yes I think it makes a difference and I'm sure the longer ones get you more bites but I do use shorter ones in summer when you have to fish really shallow if that makes sense mate
@@CatchFishingChannel Hello to any one who reads this. Jamie thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I've just tied up some 36" .16 to a size 20 Middy KM2 hooks for a session tomorrow at Hayton Lakes, Retford. The fish are still biting but have slowed down as expected. On Saturday 13th November we had good weather and was catching F1's as soon as the bait hit the water on some occasions My float was set to around 9 feet in 15 feet of water, using the line clip allowed me to straighten out the 9 feet of line allowing me to search for fish from zero to 9 feet. Using only a 4mm hard pellet as bait I was using a spread out 5 number 8 stotz to allow a gradual fall of the bait. I ended up with 27 F1's that day and the fish which I caught on the drop hooked them selves against the drag of the line through the water.

Be good to see some sonubaits groundbait in the tank if you get time. 🎣
hi Jamie, I'm also a big fan of feeder fishing. But indication on a waggler is also a nice experience
😁
Couple of hours on the waggler , you'd have had lovely bag of fish. Nice one Jamie.
Yes I wish I'd had longer to fish Terry mate
Love know more about your rod, most of waggler rods are designed for chucking pellet waggle style float. Cracking film

Hi, Jamie. Great little video.
I find that I’m bursting the maggot a lot when hooking. Do you know what I might be doing wrong?
Thanks mate.
Hi mate, usually the reason for that is the hook just not being sharp or fine enough mate
