    Hey guys. I love these videos. Thank you very much. I'm a fixed wing PPL with very little experience just starting my helicopter training in Switzerland and soon in the US. My plan is to become a CFII for helicopters AND fixed wing. What's your feeling/opinion regarding efficiency for my training process? First helicopter CFII and then fixed wing or vis versa, or maybe simultaneous?

      I would not train for the CFI for both at the same time. I would concentrate on one, then do the other. Which one first? Well, which one do you enjoy the most? The other consideration is the helicopter rating is going to be much more expensive than the airplane, so you may need to save for the CFI/Helicopter.

      I agree with Houser! Work on one, complete it, then work on the other! I would recommend picking the one that you like best! first! Do not try and do both at the same time!

    I wish such thought went into licensing people to operate boats.

    Greetings, so the question comes up and yes, we fly into the winds, but we learn to fly in the pattern. so day of check ride, do I fly into wind? or fly the runway pattern? Great heads up on the windy day flying log, I have been out on several and the worse was a constant 20 plus with CFI good learning day!

      @HelicopterGround  3 года назад

      Thank you Eric. Most generally applicants use the standard pattern.

    At 1:30 Randy tells Chris to take the controls. At 1:34 Chris confirms he has control, but Randy is so excited that speaks simultaneously and over Chris, that Chris' confirmation is for all practical purposes, unintelligible. Should Randy have waited until he heard clearly confirmation from Chris that he (Chris) had control? May seem like minutia but so often reviews of accidents where there was pilot error involved, often it was the little things that were dismissed or not performed with the rigors that flight requires. Just want you all to be safe. Godspeed.
