Great pictures. What a lot of work going on outside the stadium. So complicated.
In case someone doesn't know why the chopper blades look like that it's because of the camera's shutter speed. There are some videos where it matches perfectly and it looks like the blades don't move at all.
Looks fabulous. The pitch progress looks great and it will allow the new surface a full 12 month period to mature. My favorite feature though is still the East Plaza, the thought and imagination to restore the railway lines and the engine house and blend that in with the paving and trees is going to make that a fabulous area pre-match.

Hi Nick, the helicopter you spotted fly over every July, normally groups of two, that fly from Burtonwood, don’t quote me on the Burtonwood bit, but they fly over to Northern Ireland each year, so you might notice more in the next week or so.

Thanks Nick, on the roof, south east corner they have done the the expansion gap seal.
Stephen: I am not so sure they have yet, although it's looking like they have started work on the infills, generally. On this video, the Movement Joint is still clearly visible.

At 6:45 counting the remaining columns of cladding there are 20 full columns left. 6 per column so 120 pieces. Then there is 1 more on the north end and 2 more on the south end. For a total of 123. With 2 teams I figure about a week left weather permitting.
It's funny how in the end shot of the video the cladded bit of stadium and clouds kind of blend together, be interesting to see on a really foggy match day with the lights creating a weird effect. I'm kinda exited... even though I'm a Tranmere fan :)

LFC ran an under 7s competition in the local primary schools. Little Jimmy, aged 5 and 3/4s, won with his unusual loft concept.

Just a thought, if the canal by the west stand is closed off to the river. Could a few gallons of blue dye be dropped in. Royal blue mersey.
It'll be open to Sandon Half Tide Dock.
It’ll also be connected through pipes to Nelson Dock. Environment Agency wouldn’t allow the club to turn the water channel blue. Nice idea though
Nice one again, Nick. Just wondering if anybody knows why the the filling of the connector channel with water has to be done slowly? I know they couldn't just kick open a retaining wall on the north end of it and just let the water gush in all at once, but why are they linited to just letting it trickle in?
those Mewps were sitting on plywood on finished paving I think

Hi Nick, great update of the west elevation. Could you confirm is the roof to the shop on the east elevation complete ? as there seems to be some materials loose on it also the two grey strips to either side adjacent to the stadium are these permanent ?
The roof of the club shop is incomplete.

Strange how the patterns on the west and east barrel cladding don’t match? In fact it looks like they’ve got the pattern wrong on the east side?
They're not patterns - they're ventilation grilles and different in each stand.
@@JayEFC1969 pattern/ ventilation is still looks wrong and there nothing to do with ventilation as it’s all open behind 🤷♂️
@@stevenrichardson7882 if you look at the unfinished gap in the west stand at 3:45, you will see scaffolding with the vent near its middle. These are where a pattern will go when they do the rest of the barrel cladding
Steven: there is no "pattern" intended for the rhomboid 'mesh' sections ('portholes'). They merely match up with the ventilation grilles from the exhaust vents behind. Some of the spaces between the roof trusses have twin vents, some single ones and some none, so the 'portholes' are likewise, double, single or none.
The West Stand is the main stand and has far more Hospitality Lounges and Satellite Kitchens than the East Stand, so there are more 'portholes' on the West Stand and there is no pattern to doubles, singles or none. It reflects only the engineering 'need' not a desire for a pattern.
@@davidbadcock2225 Hiya David, I wonder if you or one of the other omniscient contributors can give a steer on the following (which may have already been asked and answered): what is the thick black horizontal line just above the club shop running along the top of the brick facades, just below the barrell cladding on the East Stand? It's playing havoc with my OCD as it appears to be off centre. It is further towards the South Stand than the North Stand and so the size of the areas either side of it are not the same. To say this is geometrically unfulfilling is putting it mildly and I'm gasping for air just writing this. I'm hoping you or @DuncTheBlue1878 can tell me there's nothing to worry about and that this is to be rectified. Otherwise they'll have to pull the whole thing down and start again...🙏

Main TV camera will be middle of the west stand. You can see the concrete platform just above the upper executive boxes at 2:02
Are you sure about that? It’s just that the tv cameras are normally located the opposite side of the ground to where the players come out, just like at Goodison
@@RSPromotions Yeah, I’m certain. The main TV camera has to be in the west stand to avoid direct sunlight into the lens (which causes issues at Goodison). The TV cameras at Spurs, Old Trafford, Anfield, Arsenal, Man City, Newcastle, West Ham, Wolves, Forest, Brentford and Brighton are all the same side as the players’ tunnel and dugouts.
RS: Dunc is correct. The MAIN TV Camera will be located at the centre of the bottom of the upper tier. the platform can be seen in this video at 2:01 mins near the top of the screen.
However, there will be 6 other TV Camera plinths around the ground. The one you are thinking about will be located directly opposite the MAIN camera location and you can see the position at the centre of the bottom of the East Stand Upper Tier (a couple of terraces without seats and backed by a glass balustrade) in other videos. The other locations are in the middle of the Accessibility Platforms, right in front of the vomitories, at the NW and NE corners and then the last three locations are at the SE and SW corners plus the centre at the back terrace of the South Stand Lower Tier.

Are they planning on putting the Crest anywhere on the new stadium or will it be who ever gets naming rights
Historic England and the council wouldn't allow the club's badge on the exterior of the stadium due to the heritage status. That's why the original plan to have an 'Everton' sign on the outside of the glass on the south stand was withdrawn.
LoR are not involved in any of the regalia or branding . EFC wil be doing that by separate sub-contracts. There are provisions in the approved plans of September, 2020, for plenty of identified areas for 'customisation' in the form of illuminated signage and this includes areas of the the barrel-cladding, at the southern end, either end of the the brick facades, the main portals and even the windows, IF the club decides to do so. However, exactly what it will end up looking like, nor what the balance will be between EFC and a Sponsor's branding will not be finalised until after the completion of a Naming Rights Project, which a specialist marketing company is handling.
I think the club will struggle securing naming rights, unless Friedkin can persuade Toyota. Spurs and West Ham still haven’t secured deals.
@@DuncTheBlue1878 I wouldn't disagree with that outlook, except IF DF gets the deal sorted soon enough, being USA oriented, the field is a little broader and the stadium and location is potentially iconic for imagery. i THINK it will get far more exposure than the others but I'm not an expert. We can hope and just have to be patient.
The rotor blades on the helicopter looks slow as it's so far away. It's like if you look at a motorway from high up even cars going 70 mph look very slow and the same with the clouds looking like moving slowly when we're on the ground looking up even though the earth is rocketing through space around the sun at at 67,000 miles an hour. We were sort of broadly level in height which I think why the rotor blades looked slow. We get drunk and aware earth is moving as we feel disoriented because our brains aren't designed for alcohol. Same with earthquakes, disoriented.
Wow, a homemade science lesson. The phenomenon when helicopter blades appear to be moving slowly in a video is called the strobe effect. It's because the blades are actually moving too fast for the camera frame rate.
