Really enjoyed this one Nick, great to understand the path out from the Liver building and look at all those redevelopment opportunities along the way. It will be interesting to see how the city regenerates around the stadium in the next 10 years or so once you guys are in there and playing. Is the old Tobacco building empty? Feels like that one alone would be ripe for a huge redevelopment. Oh and I also enjoyed you disproving your own theory about the 15 minute walk :)

    Nick,
(in my best David Badcock voice)
    1. I won't point out that the Dock Road route would have knocked loads of time off because others have already said it.
    2. I have walked from town to the stadium 3 times since the build began and it is usually a 20 minute walk, which could be longer if there were pubs!!!!
    3. I think you were slowed down by the clothing you had on.
    4. That seagull? I'm sure you knocked it out of the sky on your last flight around the stadium. I saw it at approximately 12:27 but thought it was a rare large white sparrow.
    5. The amount of people who almost walked straight into you because they were on their phones was amazing and oh so typical of what we all do to each other nowadays.
    6. I wish you would have aimed your camera at a few of those run down buildings that are potential new pub opportunites. Most of them were on the other side of the street from you.
Great video and see you when they let you back up in the air.

You are right Nick, the Tobacco Warehouse is still the largest brick built building in the world, around 27million bricks by all accounts. We stayed at the Titanic a couple of weeks ago and it looks like they are staring work on the warehouse again. Great vid by the way. 👍🏻

I was impressed that you kept to the heel and toe road contact rule throughout, so could not be accused of running. However, I suspect that you may not have been able to keep up the blistering pace had this been the Olympic 50km Walking Race!

Looks a stunning walk. 1.4 miles according to Google Maps (30min walk). Noted you're walking a lot faster than I will be. I'd need a breather at that pace. All the best for the future, Nick. Always mentioning you to people so hope a good few future projects crop up for you as I'm sure they will. Not sure if you do any affiliate work but that would always be worth looking at through your website, offering up training courses as well as selling drones and equipment.

That was another brilliant video Nick. Certainly different from the usual Ariel view from your drone, but still great to watch, and very informative. What would be nice, is a proper tour of Liverpool, a section each week with voice over, I don’t know whether anyone else would like to see that, but deffo something to think about. Cheers for the video Nick, I wait in anticipation to see what you choose to do next. 👌🏻👍

Fantastic again . I've only ever done the walk in the other direction as usually coming from Sandhills. Agree with the others about 10-15 mins walk from Sandhills and going more direct back to city would save 5-10 mins avoiding IOM terminal. Lovely views of the city though.

I don't know about anyone else, but drone stuff of historical stuff would be good. Castles dotted about, (Conwy a blinder), walls and Roman stuff in Chester, and all the bits tourists see that when you live there you never bother going to.
    Might just be me though.

Thanks for doing that Mr D. I think it's safe to say it's at least 25 minutes from anywhere you could reasonably call the city centre. That's not to say it's in the middle of nowhere. I fully expect it to be knitted into the city centre within 10 years. The key to getting there by public transport for the foreseeable future are the trains to Sandhills and Soccerbuses. We need Soccerbuses from various points in the city centre, not just Lime St as is the case now. Fans coming over on the train from Wirral and beyond should be able to board a bus at James St station, for example. I'd also have them running down Boundary St from the Rotunda, for the dozen or so buses that stop heading into amd out of the city centre on Stanley Road, Scotland Road and Netherfield Road. Over to you Mr Rotheram.

25 minutes doesn't surprise me. although as others have said, walking along the main road would have knocked a good few minutes off, although it would have been rather less scenic. I've timed it from Lime Street, and that is a brisk 40 minutes, but pretty much downhill - harder work on the way back.

if they open open old hall street match days its even closer then moorfields exit entrence and closer then st james
as your was doing a video as you was walking i think it took you 25 mins plus it wont take you as long if your a fast walker
as you said there is re strictions of drone 0'2 miles i am sure that its more then 0'2 miles and even more to goodison or anfield
where i live it is 0'9 of a mile to the strand shopping centre
i would guess its a good half mile or so from pier head to b.m.d
so are you restricted flying the drone over the mersey from the other side of the water as that should not be restricted surely?

Hi Nick just aswell you didn't get the drone up as you might be getting your front door kicked in for filming the riot that was just about to happen, bet you must have sweating on that walk as it was a warm day and you seemed to have a lot of clobber on😅 anyway the victorian city planners surrounded liverpool inner city with a ring of parks , from Walton hall in the north to calderstones in the south, they called them the lungs of the city ,Liverpool city Council say it may try to link these parks (using the old railway path and smaller recreation parks so that it may be possible to walk from Walton hall pk to Calderstones pk by only using green space or the railway foot path ...mmm I doubt it but it may be worth having a look from the air to see if its feasible..?
