You just don't know how much it means to hear that from you!! It wouldn't have been possible if I hadn't stumbled across a negative space video by an amazing artist. I've been obsessed with your hide and reveal technique since I first saw it. Thank you!!
Bill I finally got you in my Feed!! This is wonderful. You need to let those little things go. both you and Jessica are too hard on yourselves the last perfect person on earth they crucified so relax. Enjoy the Art and somebody. I guarantee you somebody will come along and love that light spot. It wasn’t pure white so it was fine. love your work. I love this technique, you’re doing a wonderful job just as Jessica does. U2 are just marvelous with his hidden reveal.
What a gorgeous result Bill ! You make it look so easy…the hide and reveal was one of the most challenging techniques for me to learn, but it sure delivers dramatic results doesn’t it ?! Great job 🎉
you’ve got this technique down Amazingly good…i think yours are the closest to Jessicas that Ive seen so far… and thats a HUGE compliment.. because shes in a league of her own. I’m so glad I found your videos your channel… I look forward to watching them all. I enjoy your colors. Your voice is calming and soothing and I just think you’re fabulous. Thank you for sharing.
WOW! What a result. I'm almost lost for words. This is sooo different from the usual 'must-have-cells' paint pouring videos! Haven't seen anything quite like it. I love your unique style and technique. I am mesmerized by the almost organic forms and patterns evolving as I watch. I can see images within the paint swirls as the colours moved, including a roaring dragon and warrior with sword! I am really, really into this. Very well done! (now sub'd)
Thank you, Garrick. I was in Asheville for the FAE back in May, and Jeremy Masse saw some pics of my work. He told me that I needed to start a channel. That evening, Jeremy, Lee, Britta, Treesie, Nate, Tara, Kanella, and Jessica were passing my phone around looking at pics, and by the end of the night, they convinced me to do it. It wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it would be. I just need to get busy and make more vids...lol
Great technique, the way you apply your activator creates awesome depth to your design, great stuff. I'd almost give up that someone would come up with something different. I had resigned myself to using up my paints and not doing pours anymore. But you have ignited a new spark. Great stuff.
Thank you so much, Carol, that is so great to hear, never give up. If you would like to see more of this technique you should check out Jessica Winter Strom's RUclips channel (WinterStromArt). She is the amazing artist that came up with this technique and inspired me to try it. I'll be putting out more as well.
Howdy Bill! Beautiful painting, and it's a technique I've not seen before, but in my defense, I stopped watching abstract videos about a year ago. Seems I'll be watching them again now 😊 I did make sure to subscribe to you 😊 Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
You are SUCH a natural talent, my friend. This gorgeous piece will find it's forever home SO quickly after you put it up for sale. Ember dragon! I love it!
Just started watching vid and have to ask before I forget.. About the 'pillow' layer. I believe the purpose of a pillow base is to help move the colours around, a cushion for the layers. I know artists' use many different products and formulas. What do you look for in this base layer? Does it matter what type of paint? Is household paint best? Should it be used straight from the tin or diluted with medium or water? What consistency? What to avoid, etc. Hope you don't mind me asking. I'm trying to learn and who better to ask than those who have blown me away with their process and results!
I use the PPG Multi-pro from Home Depot, but I have also used Sherwim Williams Color-to-go with good results. I use mine right out of the can with nothing added. You want the consistency to be pretty close to consistency of your mixed colors. I hope that helps.
Great video! 🤍🎥 Your content is always so fun and creative. Keep being awesome! ☁️✨ I truly appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos, will come back to support you! 🥰 Hugs from Juru Studio 🌷
I think it's a 12 x 16", but I'm not sure, I'll let you know tomorrow when I get home and can check it. If I forget, shoot me a DM on Facebook to remind me.
I use Amsterdam oxide black standard series tube paint and a good squirt of Golden carbon black fluid paint mixed two parts Australian Floetrol to one part paint.
When I started, I watched Paint Pouring by Kathleen Miller on RUclips. She has some good videos for beginners. Jessica Winterstrom also has some good paint mixing videos, but her techniques are more advanced. Jessicas YT channel is WinterStromArt. Louise McKay Art is another good channel for paint mixing videos. One of the best resources is Shelee Carruthers Sheleeart Bloom E-course. If you go to her RUclips channel you should be able to find a discount code. I think it cost me about $50.00 using the discount code. If you get the E-Course you also get access to her members only Facebook page where you can ask questions and get good answers quickly. Hope this helps. Good luck on your painting journey!! ❤
LOve everything about it! That composition...You've got it down, my friend! MORE! MOOOOooooOOOOOre! I WANT MORE!!!!

What sort of container do you have your spinner in?
@@brenda33181bs It's a collapsible doggie pool that I got on Amazon.
Bill what do you use in your black for an activator?
I use Amsterdam oxide black standard series tube paint and a good squirt of Golden carbon black fluid paint mixed two parts Australian Floetrol to one part paint.
I am new to this kind of painting, I don’t know how todo this but I ordered a spinner is there a video to learn by
