Can we mention the fact, that callum sees someone cast a spell once and not only can he remember the words and runes perfectly, but he seems to just do this with the most basic and simplest concept/understanding of it. Maybe I remember it wrong but I believe the other mage said something like it's not easy to learn mage wings while being very proud of himself for having this ability. Imagine callum receiving real guidance and training from other mages. God I want the next seasons.
I swear to god if they show that one of his parents is a damn elf or something... No hate against elves, but ffs if he has.some sort of magic backstory it takes away EVERYTHING special about him. Having him just be a normal human prodigy that learned how to do magic is IMPORTANT. Its why i love his character so much so far.
It was really cool to see him do magic when he wasn't supposed to be able to do, but something that really bothered me was when he did no one seemed at all surprised and if they did it was for like 2 seconds.
it is heavily hinted that Callum, with forming a connection to an arcanum, can utilize different Elements like with the moon. He is not just a bender but the Avatar.
Yep, in fact in italian all the spells are quite funny. Like "fulminis" is "thunder" but in italian it translate in "fulmine" ....Or like "Manis pluma volantis" ... in english that would mean "hands, feathers, flying" but in italian is litterally "Mani, piuma, volanti" soooooo yeaaah they're quite lame at times.
The way magic is portrayed in this series is my fav. Callum being the only known human to use primal magic is not weird. He is the first to achieve a connection to the primal sources an understanding that primal source creatures are born with. He saw the world as a primal stone which contains all the sources. And to use a primal stone you firstly need to see it and know its in youre grasp
I love Callum so freaking much. Especially that part where he used a small principle of Dark Magic to do Arcanium Magic is just amazing. Like using the magical powers or the essence of the moon necklace to use moon magic and contact with the moon arcanium because he didn't have a connection to the sky arcanium. Like.... Wow.
@@Firespark7 In book 1 when he tries using fulminus by the lake he doesn’t know the trigger word yet so he just has a hand covered in lighting. The lighting can be dispelled if he touches something that conducts electricity such as the water in the lake. So he could technically just never say the trigger word and just reach out and do max damage on anyone
I keep thinking that Callum also knows the moon arcanum. In the last scene, he drops the dust from the moon opal and then, he draw the rune. He did it again in the comic Through the Moon. Change my mind
@@The_Memorial yes and no. When Runaan used the moon opal en S1 he said the spell and the dust from the opal did the rest, but both times Callum used it, he just threw the dust, draw the rune, and said the word. Since Runaan didn't had to draw any rune and used the dust from the opal to cast the spell, I keep thinking Callum is connected to the arcanum but he kept thinking it was all bc of the moon opal
@@The_Memorial absolutely, though, Callum didn't use it that way. Take a look at the first chapter from S1, when Runaan cast an illusion spell to hide the assassins. Runnan, instead of drawing the rune, threw the dust to the air and said the spell, while Callum just threw the dust to the ground and drew the rune. It is like the moon opal not only channels the moon magic, besides, it replaces the draconic runes. When Callum uses it and draws the runes, it doesn't seem like there is a connection between the dust and the rune since the dust falls to the ground from his hand.
I think it was a moon sigil. He crushed the moon stone and so it worked like the primal stone with sky in it. he used the moon stone to cast a moon spell he saw from the other elf.
Hard to chose becs I love both😅 but I would say Rayna becs Claudia has already a boyfriend and Spoiler Terry is very cute, I think Claudia and him should end toghter.

@Nivonagi fr I wanna try tbh but unfortunately magic isn't very prominent in our world

Elf: humans can’t do magic.
Callum: I’m about to crash this man whole career.
still the most amusing moment in the series
Alternate title: Sokka finally becoming a bender
Stoooppp its bad enough he found a boomerang and was drawn to it XD
it is heavily hinted that Callum, with forming a connection to an arcanum, can utilize different Elements like with the moon. He is not just a bender but the Avatar.
He sounds alike
Correction if sokka was a air bender
Bro is the avatar now
Anyone else notice that the Draconic language is technically Latin?
Yeah, it is said in TDP Wiki that etymology of Draconic comes fdom Latin
Again, Latin proving to be the magical language par excellence

They better have a season 4
You mean how did sokka get so awesome

There's probably other primal stone users back then.
doesn’t it also help he’s half elf? half elf’s are more conductive of magic, so I’m not sure if humans can actually do magic or just half elves.
I love the slightly panicked "help!!" 😂😂

Can I just say that Callum has a powerful melee attack spell that involves not using the triggerword for Fulminus but decides to never use it
Well duh…
He needs the sharingan to properly use the chidori
Which one?

True but I think the implication is that having so much stray lighting flying is too much of a risk to anyone who might be an ally around him
6:55 i like how callum ust does fulminus as that guy was talking
Like his mother, he is sick of everyone's shit about him not being able to do something he wants to do.
I love the guys reaction he was like "what just happened"
With a look that says, yeah I don’t have time for this crap. Show me the spell.
Thats my favorite one (next to him growing wings)

That cracking sound wasn’t thunder. It was Ibis’ entire worldview getting shattered

I like how the draconic runes are just a representation of what the spell will do.
Like Fulmanus being just a cloud with lightning
6:56 that hand signing was so smooth and quick lol
6:17 “oh right! *breathing*” like how could this dude forget ._.
Callum really does love his aspiro
The noodle arm scene is still the best IMO xD

i must say, the scottish accent is really good and funny, perfectly chosen
I love and miss him
He’s still alive isn’t he, and there’s a new season on Netflix.

Such a good video it so good and sweet
For a while...Callum learns Chidori
5:16 Blud was air bending 💀😂
OTHER PEOPLE WTCH THIS I JUJUST STARTED REWATCHING IT
Not only did he learn the rune and spell after seeing it once, he also learned to master it to redirect the wind
I really hope he connects to the other primal’s
Why do you have one of the symbols of dark magic?
At the moment: Sky magic principal, Ocean magic secondary.
Bonus: chains -> snakes Dark magic. (Historya viventum) Moon magic
Bruh he'll end up being the Avatar here
7:09 YES IT IS that was sky magic
Well, he learned that spell from a Moonshadow Elf, so he uses sky magic to perform a moon spell that reveal past events in a specific area.
@@theowilds3778 He didn't use sky magic. The reason he smashed the moon stone is to draw on the power of the moon.
