Depends. Probably beat the main quest in 25-35 hrs, but including the optional stuff, 100% is more like 50+ hrs. The game is also exceptionally replayable in the form of challenge runs, and unique strategies.
I'm also 100% through the game and have 70 hours.
Yep 60 hours to 100% for me, but I remembered some of the things from playing the game 20 years ago. Also took my sweet time.

Ryu straight through 30-35 hours if you want to 100% probably 50+ hours!

Quake hammer is one of those badges that once i have it i never remove it.
You should get the double pain badge. It's essentially the hard mode of the game. Also, multibounce has been nerfed in this version of the game, the fourth jump is literally frame perfect and the following jumps are a little looser. Funny thing is, first time you used the move, you got the frame perfect input.
Why do you all say multibounce, when its POWER BOUNCE!?

Hey btw idk if you’re gonna see this, but I’ve got a bit of a pro-gamer tip for you. There’s actually a very useful hidden mechanic you aren’t aware of atm, which are called “stylish moves”.
They’re basically extra action commands you can hit by pressing A with good timing on any of your moves to give you extra star power (and backflips), but the game doesn’t exactly tell you when to do them.
But that’s where the pink battle master toad is ACTUALLY helpful, I recommend practicing with him a little bit as it shows you icons each moment you can press A for stylish during a move. Each move also has different timings for each of them.
The game for some reason doesn’t really mention much of this outside of the battle master, at least from what I’ve seen. But hopefully this helps 👍

Have you found the double damage badge ? This is essentially hard mode for the game.. you take double the damage having this badge on
it took me about 30 hours to beat the original TTYD so youre up for a loooong ride, also can you play hades 1 you will surely enjoy it.
For a first time playthrough I would say 3ish hours per chapter. Depends on the about of battling you do. I would say 25-30 hours first time. 100% is another story, but you must try the pit of 100 trials for us! We would all LOVE to see you take on that challenge after the main story is done.
Reminder to talk to the battle master about stylish moves. Makes battles even more fun and interactive and rewards you with more special power 😊

I just got 100%, pretty much nothing left to do. I'm at almost 60 hours. I was probably at around 40ish when I beat it. Definitely was taking my time with everything though. I wish there were more to do now tbh

Double Pain doubles the damage Mario takes from enemies when wearing it. It does not double the damage Mario does to enemies. You didn’t misread it. This badge is one of the badges in this game that makes the game harder (there are others).
In the remake, you can obtain two Double Pain badges whereas in the original you can only obtain one. In both versions of TTYD, the effects stack (despite only one of them being obtainable in the original). I know you can get more in the original by using methods Nintendo doesn’t approve of.

The Shadow Sister Vivian is actually trans, and it wasn't a rewrite. She was inplied to be trans in the original Japanese version but it was removed in the American version for reasons. In the remaster, they kept it more to the original design. That's why she's so happy to be called their, "Sister", before the older one calls her sappy. Also, amazing playthrough so far!
No, her Vivian was always trans, But it's a rewrite:
- The famous " I'm their sister, not their brother" line didn't existed in original game
- Beldam Used a red word ( liteary ) "YOU'RE A MEN" which was changed to "PLUG-UGLY", both were removed in the remake to avoid transphobia ( or at the very least not obious one )
- Goombella kept using male pronouc on vivian until the ending
- Her description used to be "HE LOOKS LIKE A GIRL BUT IT'S ACTUALLY A BOY"

@@volvoman5262 That's what I just said. In the American version, anything to do with trans was taken out to make it sound like she was just a normal sister like the rest. I owned a copy and loved this game. I learned about the trans thing in this one.
The japanese original uses "otokonoko".
He was a crossdresser, not trans. Get your facts right.

That's on the official wiki. YOU should fact-check yours :D
