Sorry to hear that both of you are having some difficult MH days. Tell Bigfoot to do as they do on the Appalachian Trail to "embrace the suck" as sometimes there is just nothing you can do but push on until you get that breakthrough. I am happy he has you as a positive sounding board when he is having those difficult moments and can help pull him through. Yall are doing a great job and keep on keeping on!

Hey there Frozen! I just wanted to say thank you thank you for showing the beauty of this place! I’m from California and did some trips in Yosemite national park. Beautiful piece of our country! Now we live in New England. I gotta say YOU ARE DOING AMAZING with the altitude and snow. I REALLY hope Bigfoot is able to soldier on. He seems like a really cool dude! WOOOO BUDDY!!! You’re getting closer to some hammock trees!!😃👍🏼. Shug is watching this thinkin “when the heck is he gonna make the switch!😁”
I really love your attitude about Whitney. You go over plenty of peaks on the trail anyway. Plus…. It’s not like you’re short on views😃.
Take care you guys and be safe.

Days 43 & 44. So far, these provide the most beautiful visuals. Eg. 17:07
I can't imagine having to film that river crossing. It meant, knowing you since about your channel's inception, you probably crossed that river 3 times. . .
Once to set the camera, then to cross over to the beginning, and a final crossing for film!
Way to go Jason and Bigfoot!

At 10k feet in altitude O2 saturation is about 80% . in addition to the heavy pack that could definitely hake it a little harder to breath !

Oh man that emotion rung a bell with me. Last time I felt that was on the west rim trail after hiking in a thunderstorm getting rained on all day then seeing the view from balbour rock with the clouds snaking below us in the valley…

Frozen - keep going. Followed you since ACT and looking forward to seeing you finish the PCT.
I noticed in episode 21 that your hip belts were not secured during the stream crossing, then I remembered a story I read about a young lady drowning as a result of a secured hip belt. She was a very petite young lady hiking alone, slipped and unable to slip out of her pack.
Could you please talk about the dangers of water crossings in one of your videos. I'm sure the info would be helpful to some hikers. Thanks for all that you do for the hiking environment!

You guys are cranking out the miles! You work well together, keep encourage each other. You need a pair of cheap aqua (Kayak) shoes! I spent 6 years as an Army paratrooper, you're not in the military, keep your shoes and socks dry!! Take your boots and socks off before water crossings. Don't be a causality of your own doing. Be save and continue to drive on! -Sean

Was really cool to see that you hiked right through Mulkey pass. I was there on June 13th and 16th. I stopped there to rest on the way in and the way out. Ate lunch on the big log just past the signs there. Lot of the snow that you hiked through was gone just a few days later when I was there.. I’ll always remember that trip.

sounds like you were pretty "Frozen" glad you got past it/ Mt Whitney is also an end of the JMT so hopefully you come back and do it// it is mostly just about being on the highest peak in the lower 48// probably was more trouble than it was worth with snow. looks like the creek crossing was the right amount of exciting without being too dangerous and man those views!! so happy you are out there. Ill assume Bigfoot made it ok, going to watch another episode now and find out/ thanks for sharing

Hey what ive always done with the bear can is keep my food in my food bag while hiking just like i normally would and put some clothes in the bear can to make room in my pack if needed then after dinner I put all my food and consumables in the bear can for over night after breakfast food bag gets packed as usual empty bear can with clothes if I need room strapped to my pack. Bear cans are easy to carry when they're not loaded with 20+lbs of food.

For me, Whitney has always been a let down due to the number of people up there with their cell phones picking up service from Lone Pine. They have to share with all their friends back home. Keep the outside world, outside.
It also can be a hard hike to complete the last 1000 feet as it’s a new height over the other trail you’ve been on.

Even this vid happened 7-8 days ago roughly, it's too bad you didn't have diver booties with you so at the least, 1) to allow you to cross those water crossings in something else than you shoes which in turn 2) would allowed you to have at the least, drier feet at the day's end. Getting your legs warmer would be easier than the feet especially when walking in water soaked shoes. If nothing else, food for thought for future endeavors. I hope that wherever you are presently on 7 Jun, the trip has gone good so far and for now, you are past the big obstacles, to date. I know, there are more ahead - be careful !
